A big factor that this dev understand over any big studio devs is to make the enemies move randomly. Any other game and the animation are very stiff and pre-calculated, here the spiders look like their limbs are almost flowing with the wind and that makes them much more realistic and scary

Honestly the environmental lore in this game is kinda amazing. Why is there a sophisticated pipe system in the lake in supposedly medieval Norway? Why are the literal plot devices called Dimensional Violators? What kind of peasant folk would even entertain the concept of multiple dimensions or even call them dimensions instead of, say, heaven or hell? This seems like a mix of post apocalyptic mythical setting and it’s awsome
