Safety concerns over CPD's switch to encrypted digital radio channels

There is absolutely no reason civilian police should have encrypted radios. They are civilians not military. If they need encrypted communication they probably shouldn't be doing whatever they're doing. They have no job that requires encrypted comms. There are laws in place to protect their anolog signals/channels/stations. Big waste of tax dollars.

Digital radio is dangerous. There is no weak signal capabilities. Its full signal or nothing. On FM analog radio you can hear weak signals. Digital radio cuts off instead. Its like driving in your car and your FM radio station gets weaker the farther you get. You can still hear it until it fades out. Digital radio immediately cuts off without a full signal.

Digital encrypted sucks. Known fact. Analogue is the best. But Motorola needs to make money and thats the bottom line! Motorola is the best, I live my life by it. But going to digital, etc. is an ongoing bs move for years and supported by the FCC! Its all BS!!!!
