A nanny shouldn’t be expected to use her personal vehicle to transport children at all. Mileage reimbursement is a fraction of the actual cost to maintain a nanny vehicle. Also when a car seat is safely secured in a vehicle it’s not possible to just remove and reinstall whenever you need access to your backseats. It’s not fair to essentially turn your nanny’s vehicle into a two-seater. Finally when the vehicle does need maintenance (inevitably) the nanny must miss work (and pay) to have repairs made. It’s not economical considering the average nanny pay.
