The issue I tend to have with "safety glasses" is that most of the non-geeky looking ones are designed for people who do NOT wear prescription eyeglasses. Thanks to my 3rd/4th eyes, I tend to wear DeWalt safety goggles because they a) do the job and b) they fit over my glasses. I'll never get style points, however, for wearing DeWalt safety goggles. 🤣

For what it's worth, most optometrist offices can get prescription safety glasses in "modern" styles like shown here.

buy a pair of pitvipers, get the ones under The Grand Prix, they fit perfect over my glasses and are z87+ approved. Mine saved my eye one day when I was in school for Machine Tool & Tie. They were only around $50 bucks plus shipping about 2 years ago.

For as a mechanic safety glasses are a must in alot of places. Under the car, using a grinder or hammering on chisel. So i know there are going to get scratched up so paying $50+ for safety glasses is way to much. I like the 1 -2 ones so do not worry about a loss or not being able to afford to put them on due to I know there will get hit with something. For shooting and sunglasses for riding or diring then would be ok.

I was introducing my GF to some general wood working and asked her what is the first thing she should do when working with her tools? She didnt know. I told her to put on her safety glasses. I made her put a pair on and she got a bit upset and said "These are stupid". She took them off and continued to cut some wood. I kid you not, Later on she came in because she got a splinter in her eye. She now wears safety glasses all the time. Thank heaven I was able to get the splinter out and no real damage. Just the Lords way of teaching her a good lesson. When Im working on my car I need my reading glasses on. So, Its hard to fit safety glasses over them. I have about 4 pair in the house - My every day nice pair, My garage pair, My "I cannot find any of my glasses" pair and a new pair in the drawer. lol... I used to laugh at my Dad about this when I was young. Now I dont. BTW --- Happy Easter Everyone!

32 years working for Cat ( Scabapilare ). I would end up about once every 2 weeks at the Companies eye doctor. I would wear safety glasses, and warp around face shield. I don't know how I would get the metal in my eyes but would. So safety glasses and full face shields I believe in.

I was redirected to the Australian version of the website and prices (for adults) start at $120 ! Ouch. They're rather expensive. I love it that they're made in Taiwan but wish they were't so pricey.

As much as I have spent on CHEAP safety glasses, I could have gotten several of these. BUT, I never heard of this company. So I will look up other reviews to see how long they last. I'm a huge advocate of wearing safety glasses. I wear them all the time, all day, even if I am just spinning a wrench on the table. Same with hearing protection. I wear my shooting earphone for hours at a time. I like the bluetooth and sound deadening.

There are bifocal safeties we wore in oil refinery. But only good for looking down. If need to see something level or above we’d have to look up to look down through the magnifying section at bottom of the glasses.🤷🏼‍♂️ Plus they were super cheap where the lenses would fall out, like those Dollar store readers always do…

After my son broke 2 nice pair of shades i wear safety glasses every day. I wear them for work and for fun. When my son breaks them or i forget them somewhere its only a 2 dollar loss instead of 50 or more.

I don't like non of those. I also where prescription glasses so non of those would work anyhow. I recently got nocry safety glasses on Amazon and they by far the best. Safety first not looks you don't need to look good safety should always be priority.

@@timsawyer7443 Try Grainger, they have a good selection, might be umder Condor brand now. Rugged Blue Diablo brand from discount safety are similar wrap around. Grey lens is favorite dark enough shade , other colors avail. Forget that im wearing them sometime

These are currently the best safety glasses for their price point on the market. I try to tell everyone I know about them. I wear them for landscaping, range days, and hunting feral hogs. I’ve got multiple pairs and the transition lenses (only trans that should matter 🤢) are fantastic.
