Safety Last - live at the 7th Street Entry (1981)

Oh, maaaaaaaaaaaaan! Does THIS take me back! I used to see Safety Last (with Lianne) many times in Duluth and the Twin Cities. I took a LOT of photos of them back then. By the time I got my first VHS video camera, the group broke up. I would LOVE to see videos of the band with Lianne. All 4 of them were always so nice to us schmucks from Duluth. I remember running into Rusty in the downtown streets of Mpls after the 1987 World Series. He recognized me right away pointing at me and yelling SAFETY LAST! It was a madhouse that night. I think it may have been the summer after, that I ran into Lianne near Uptown, when she was on her way to the dentist. It was so great catching up with her for a bit. We became friends on Facebook for a while before we just stopped communicating, but I DID get her CD "Two Sides Of A River" before that. I also sent her copies of a bunch of my Safety Last pics. I sure miss those days. Definitely the funnest years of my adult life. (I'm 64 now)

This was the first appearance of the new Safety Last with Gary Louris on guitar, and Gary's first Entry gig. Jim Tollefsrud on drums, Rusty Jones bass. Lianne Smith would join the band in a couple of months.
