I would love to grow these varieties of mushrooms at home but I'am in a tropical country and I don't know if it is possible to grow them.Also only affordable seeds are those oysters seeds.Hope you answer this and I really appreciate your videos 🧡

no one has really been able to cultivate them as they are symbiotic with the pine tree

I live in a tropical country too and ive never seen such gorgeous mushrooms growing around here, for exception of some pink gilled white mushrooms that seemed to be edible, but I've never tried them

I hate mushrooms, but I’d be willing to try any dish once. Even if I hate their texture, I feel like if it’s paired with something I’ll like it. I’ll probably leave any mushroom I see for other foragers, but it’s nice to know how to identify them!

Let me give you this tidbit of foraging wisdom : if it grows where youlive and is edible it means that you SHOULD eat it and make it a fixture of your diet as local stuff is paired with the environment you live in thus good for you. That symbiosis has ramifications were too dumb to understand...yet!

We have those in Portugal. We call them "pinheiras" , from the word pine tree in Portuguese. Love to heat them. The toxic ones are very similar. The difference is they're white underneath and they grow near the god ones

Is there any other shroom(s) near to where they grow that could be mistaken for these? We have vast pine barrons here in NJ but I'm always worried about picking something tha might look like it, but isn't.

there is a poisonous milk cap that looks similar and grows in the same climate; you can tell the difference by the color of the milk, the poisonous one secretes a white fluid, saffron milk caps also have a distinct sweet smell, the best way to tell is to nibble a piece of the small mushroom and spit it out, the poisonous one is very spicy

all milk caps and russulas can be eaten if the poisons are cooked out, the double boil method is a popular technique, scandinavian and eastern europeans utilize this technique then pickle them
