It was funny to watch a safin outburst. There was no reason to drag this out as long as he did, think it was to calm down his fury and anger so he could concentrate properly. The argument got more and more silly as it went along.

In the video he doesn't even bother to crack a racket (which is almost standard procedure for an angry Safin), he barely shouts and he climbs the umpire's chair because they couldn't hear each other because of the noise the crowd was making. You can't call that "Furious". Compare that to Fed insuling the Umpire in the USO 09 Final or Bagdatis breaking 4 rackets in a row...thats furious...

@breek1 you need to watch the video again. ferrero clearly stopped immediately after the return. and if you believe he should have stopped playing in the time between the serve hitting the ground and then hitting ferrero's racquet, you're clueless. the confusion was the line judge calling the ball out at 0:08. and I don't understand the problem here anyway, if the serve was out, the serve was out. have some class. that being said safin was my favorite player
