If magic would exist then all non-islamic countries would employ it on mass scale for everything. They don't, obviously, because magic does not exist. And the Earth isn't flat like a carpet, it's a sphere, so you can't bow toward Mecca while praying. The Moon is not split in two, unlike what Muhammad claimed. Stars aren't lamps. Semen does not come form between the ribs. The Moon does not follow the Sun. The Sun does not have a resting nor rising place. The Earth didn't form before the stars, nor was it created in six days. Black people are not inferior to arabs Women are not inferior to men. Marrying and raping children is not ethical. Murder is not ethical. Slavery is not ethical. Torture is not ethical. Terrorisation is not ethical. Opression is not ethical. Extortion is not ethical. Religions are made up by politicians of present and past to manipulate people. There never was any magic, and if there is a god, it never gave any messages trough these people to us.

I was anime fan since childhood and i have binged watched 20-30 episodes a day. And then I shifted and did tauba in pandemic. After doing tauba, I started to think what I have watched and then i realised that anime always refers to god as lustful or greedy being and glorify Devils and magics. And its not like anime these days are doing this but since the beginning it has been like this only. It advocates sins and even justify it. Oh I have so much to share but I will conclude that even after doing tauba and i feel pull towards anime sometime, It is addictive and waste a lot of time, it give psychological problems especially distaste with reality, disconnect with humans, incapable to manage relationship with family, pleasure in others pain, blood seems normal like paint as if I have seen the picture in anime already and the dead being or hurt being is nothing but a picture, uneasiness, unhappiness, lusty thoughts all time etc. With the mercy of Allah, i am way better now but still feel some reminiscent within me and I am watching scholars to fill my heart with the love of Allah and his prophet. I completely agree. As a former addict I know that anime become worse the more you drift away from the mainstream. Mainstream are things like dragon ball, Naruto or one piece which already contain shirk elements and perversion but don't actively seek to change the beliefs of their audience. But once you dive into Seinen anime you constantly encounter themes like nihilism and questioning the goodness of god or even his existence. And there are a lot of semi intellectual internet forums and also youtube channels discussing and praising the philosophical themes of these anime and giving more recommendations. Mainstream anime are the gateway drug (but even they involve things like the protagonist fighting "Gods" and a lot of nudity and sexualization) and the more you search the more disgusting it gets. There's nothing good about anime and one must stop watching it immediately.

Crucially (in perhaps all modern anime, though not necessarily in older ones during and before the 90s) it also makes women and men look almost if not exactly the same and it thusly confuses ones mind to a great degree regarding conceptions of 'gender' and 'sexuality' etc. All anime are essentially escapist and at the very least agnostic; it only reinforces those worst of the western ideological tradition: indulgence in the contingent and temporal reality, superstition and the sovereignty of the individual to pursue unlimited pleasure by the law of the harm principle. Morality is in anime always something deeply subjective and confused. I think you mentioned in the video already, but I feel like I might have something to add: One may object to the view that 'one should not view animation', stating that the prohibition is only on one doing the act of drawing (the face of a living being). Yet the attractiveness of the drawing deeply influences ones heart and makes one wish to also himself imitate that drawing. Not only that but the mind is tricked into seeing that animation as reality, deep in the subconscious. That is: it essentially works as pornography; because it is incredibly attractive imagery that is unnatural in standard and it places itself in the mind as the new standard and the mind's subconscious does not (necessarily) know better and so grows impatient and dissatisfied with the natural world, its own body and face and its potential spouse. If Allah curses the person who draws images of living beings then how could one stomach to watch the 'work' of one who is so viewed by the Almighty in such regard.

I'd add onto this by including TikTok (perhaps even more so than anime) as the captain of corrupting people. I have seen the effects both can have on people; however, TikTok seems to have the most forceful and immediately corrupting effect as any new (mostly haram) trends and ideas proliferate through that platform like wildfire and reach every viewer. Most people scroll through it in every instance of free time they acquire and accumulate 3-7+ hours per day scrolling on the app, being conditioned directly to believe that not only is everything they are seeing normal, but that everyone around them believes and supports it. It is one thing to be influenced by cartoon characters, but a whole other story to be influenced by thousands of human beings spewing the same messages and haram. Anime has more of a long-term corrupting effect where its effects start to precipitate once someone is binging through hours of episodes per day for many months/years.

Autism is a neurological condition related to brain development, and it cannot be caused by watching certain programs or media. Such statements are not based on facts and only contribute to misunderstandings and stigmatization.

And i also try to avoid bad things that are available in anime. But sometimes i also get carried away but that works as a motivation so that i accept what's going on my life and get on track. Sharh al Weebiyyah: The Satan worship is probably in reference to most "demonic" characters being portrayed very positively, even when they embody vices, and these characters are the norm in most anime. The atheism sounds odd and probably should be shirk since virtually all anime operates off of Shinto theology which is explicit polytheism similar to Hinduism. However, god in these animes are depicted as humanlike, so that also correlates to the self worship which underpins atheism. As for the last one, basically every anime has some kind of degeneracy in it. The only question is whether the degeneracy is explicit and in your face or subtle and in the subtext. I will also add two more that the jinn did not mention: it leads to gambling and the collection of literal, physical idols.

“Anime” (アニメ) is the Japanese word for “animation”. Shaykh Shadee is right, it is more less a style of animation that comes from Japan. Anime is like the internet. There is good, bad, حلال, حرام, everything in between.

The word Jinn is used in one anime called “Magi: Adventures of Sinbad” from 2016. The jinn actually possess characters bodies and give them powers both good guys and bad guys. Anime is made by atheist Japanese. They based their shows and characters on their beliefs so there’s a lot of buddhist references and some christianity. They believe in reincarnation in another world. A whole genre dedicated to it. They also have the porn industry side. Anime is still meaningless entertainment but not to be taken serious. I love anime but only watch the fighting type anime, world building. Some stories are more entertaining than regular tv shows or movies and the art style is by far the best in the world. But some anime do have demonic aspects if you pay attention.

Anime, like other forms of entertainment, is a broad genre that covers various themes, ranging from educational and morally uplifting stories to purely fictional or imaginative tales. Islamic law (Sharia) does not focus on the form of the medium, such as anime, but on the message, purpose, and effects it has on the viewer. If the content of an anime does not conflict with the basic principles of Islam, such as avoiding explicit haram behavior (like sexual immorality, violence, or idolatrous themes), it cannot automatically be deemed haram. Many anime can offer moral lessons, positive messages about perseverance, friendship, and family, or educational content that is acceptable within an Islamic framework. Therefore, it is the viewer’s responsibility to critically assess the content of an anime and ensure that it aligns with Islamic values and principles.
@servantofthemerciful35112 ай бұрын
why you guys are not talking about drawing or sculpting inanimate objects haram so why Making or watching anime cartoons and games are halal ?
@SRLCG2232 ай бұрын
@@servantofthemerciful3511 The discussion about animations and cartoons within Islam, particularly among Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, is often more nuanced than many might think. Many scholars argue that intent (niyyah) plays a crucial role in determining whether something is halal or haram. If the intention behind creating or watching animations is positive, such as conveying moral or educational lessons or simply providing innocent entertainment without harmful influences, then it can be deemed permissible. Thus, it’s not just about the medium, but also about its purpose and content. Additionally, many scholars make a significant distinction between realistic images and abstract or fictional representations, such as those found in cartoons and anime. Since these often lack realistic portrayals of Allah’s creation, some scholars do not consider them problematic. For example, the Hanafi madhab allows for some flexibility regarding non-realistic representations that do not contain inappropriate or harmful content. This suggests that as long as the images do not closely resemble actual humans or animals, but rather appear more symbolic or cartoonish, they do not fall under the same prohibitions. Moreover, animations can possess educational value. Numerous cartoons effectively teach children moral lessons or even disseminate religious values. When the goal of animations is to educate individuals about Islam, help children develop good manners, or raise awareness about important societal issues, many scholars view them as beneficial and positive. In Islam, there is room for recreation and entertainment as long as it does not lead to neglecting religious obligations. Imam al-Ghazali emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between work, worship, and leisure. Responsible entertainment, such as watching a fun, innocent animation, can help relieve stress and rejuvenate individuals for their religious duties. The issue arises only when this entertainment becomes excessive and interferes with essential religious or social obligations. Furthermore, it's essential to note that there is no explicit prohibition in the Qur'an or Sunnah against creating abstract images, provided they do not lead to shirk (idolatry) or other sins. The prohibition against creating images in some hadith often refers to idolatry or the worship of images, which is typically not the case with cartoons or animations. Many contemporary scholars point out that these forms of abstract art are not the same as the images or paintings that the Prophet (peace be upon him) disapproved of. Lastly, various modern scholars have issued fatwas indicating that the use of animations and cartoons is not inherently problematic as long as the content remains pure and does not conflict with Islamic values. The concern often lies more with the content rather than the medium itself. If the content is morally responsible and does not promote forbidden behaviors like violence, immorality, or shirk, then there are no objections from an Islamic perspective. In summary, as long as animations and cartoons are used with the right intention, are not realistic, have moral or educational value, and do not distract from religious obligations, there is sufficient room within Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah to consider these forms of art and entertainment permissible

I think most of the anime are all so incredibly violent: Demonslayer for example is all about demons, blood, killing, and possessing. The main character cares for his demon sister and nurtures her. Dragonball Z has major themes of shirk considering other dieties as gods. even the brand new dragon ball series DAIMA is heavily rooted in demonism, rituals and magic. Look at Onepiece (1121 episodes), Naruto (220 episodes), Naruto Shippuden (500 episodes), Bleach (366 episodes). In all this time you could have spent more time with family, doing good deeds, learning more about the deen, or even exercising!

I do agree that it’s a time waster on entertainments when we could use the time for religion/good deeds. However, I also believe that spending time on both your good deeds & own personal needs is a good enough thing for any casual muslim. What matters the most is your 5 daily prayers. I’m sure we have heard the fact that every sin we do counts as 1 bad deed. While every good we do counts as 10 good deeds (minimum) but all of the good deeds will be for naught if you don’t pray. We can’t expect anyone to understand why we can’t devote our free time fully on non-entertainments, only people like us & Allah swt knows best. We are all created differently so we can’t assume & judge others. For all we know, that person did plenty of good deeds & practice his faith on the times that he feels at peace despite indulging himself on countless hours on entertainments . ‘As long as he did all of his daily prayers’ And whether he managed to do all of it, is up to Allah swt to validate his good deeds as once again ‘only Allah swt knows best’ on the reason of missed prayers.

Blogging theology has had Naoki Yamamoto, a japanese revert who is utilizing anime and manga to spread islam. Anime is a medium, a form of story telling. Yes there are nefarious actors, and those with genuine good. A simple book is a medium, where one author writes a story like Dr. Seuss, and another on the opposite end writes a book such as 50 shades of grey. Now, no one says stay away from books, but be mindful of what you consume. As a revert whose whole family, friends, spouse, etc all watch anime, go to cons, I've had more success in giving dawah in this culture than any other group.

I do know however over a third of American adults have some form of anxiety and or depression, so I don't believe this study exists in a vacuum, and a Muslim who is a licensed psychologist should analyze this study and also the overall trends of mental health in America. Also not "nearly every" anime has a protagonist with a devil contract. A quick search shows only about 15-20% of anime have an "interaction with a devil" not making a deal because many of them fight them. Also this solely exists in the supernatural genre, like you would expect in American supernatural TV shows. There are many anime in other genres that have none of this, and there is also my favorite, the historical genre where they take the lives of historical figures and anime it. This is precisely what Dr. Naoki intends to do. Pull people away from that, but while still enjoying anime. Anime itself isn't Haram, it's a huge market, it's not going anywhere, so how do we take advantage of it? Take the good and leave the bad and warm against it. Simple. As Shaykh said concerning entertainment, leave a little for enjoyment, as long as it's permissable and good. We should all strive to focus on the deen and encourage others to also. I will say as a revert myself, I've had to go thru and filter out which anime I watch and recommend, and do agree that a lot of anime, solid 50% or more, have wrongful things in them. Naturally as I study the deen and learn more, the less anime I watch and enjoy. But there are a few I do, and I stay within the culture of my community while being on top of trends lingo etc to give effective dawah in a way they understand, so Islam does not feel "foreign" to them, but something natural they can embrace, and coming from someone like me who they are familiar with.

@@zigzagzallakabam4823 Finally a reasonable, well-thought out response lol instead of just writing something off as "haram" entirely. I am pretty new to anime myself. I have only seen a handful of shows but have been been pleasantly surprised the positive, thought-provoking themes some have compared to your average Hollywood movie or Netflix show. Just like any other medium, there are some not so good shows and elements but the ones that are good do a great job exploring topics and issues that I haven't really seen any done in other media in a relatively "halal' manner. And like you mentioned, even if some shows include devils and such, I have always seen them as representation of the evil that exists in the world rather than means for witchcraft and such.
@zigzagzallakabam48232 ай бұрын
@@kalyda211 this is why I always recommend grave of the fireflies. It is about the horrors of carpet bombings and experimental weapons and the devastating effects it had on Japan, not only as it happened, but also the after effects of the people who lived through it and how it damaged not only physically, but also emotionally and the turmoil it had on families and society. It is based on a true story, the original book being a traumatic coping release by the author who lived thru it.

@@zigzagzallakabam4823 That is an excellent recommendation and it was my actually my first introduction into anime. As someone who has a lot of refugees in their family, it did an incredible job capturing the impact of war. Although it is more on the violent side, I think Attack on Titan is also another great one.

This is wild. Anime isn't something you encourage someone to watch or get into, but to make some off claim about it leading to homosexuality or devil worship is just so... silly. How ? Can you explain the mechanism by which it leads to that? It's tinfoil hat territory and as muslims we're better than that. The wisest position to take is - Anime which dont have inappropriate content are OK to watch in moderation just like playing soccer or watching a documentary is OK to watch. Anything that is inappropriate is wrong just like watching pornography would be wrong. Why go that unnecessary step and claim anime is somehow leading to devil worship? Especially if you can't even explain how that happens. This is what puts people off the deen, because people make it impossible to live in the modern age with rulings that are not clear cut or are just based on hearsay. The confusion and harm a take like this brings is something you will need to be accountable for.

To be frank, I had my mouth hanging at the start (''using anime as n°2?") but then I remembered there is an anime with a female angel named Jibril. And they depict God or gods awfully. They are not all the same of course but it's easy to see some coherences. From someone who watches anime since the 90's.

Well, as for me, I barely watch one episode (or less) a day, and may be read 1 scan or 2, all while eating, so... PS: I'm not watching/reading the weird stuff alhamdullillah, I try only reading/watching interesting manga/anime, like those about military conquest, science etc. Wa Allahu Ta'Ala A3lem.

Many of the anime content is created with the moral compass in the show based upon Buddhist ideologies and Buddhist stories. If not that then it is based on someother sources of extreme fantasies and fanaticism.

I like anime, and I still wouldnt recommend for ppl to watch it, personally I truly think I have control over how much I watch, but most ppl cant and will end up binge watching and get obsessed with it. which is why I'll never endorse it. and for kids, the most definitely should stay away from it, it can warp their minds very easily.

I believe there to be nuance as yes there is a lot of degeneracy but that doesn't mean we can create our own or gain some benefit from the good content that exists. I think a lot of the remarks are getting anime and otaku culture ( extreme indulgence ) a bit confused. you can be a casual enjoyer but like anything there are extremes.

Anime, in its current form, is definitely haram. Those who say no are in denial. All the sexual fan service, the isekai (reincarnation), the "good" maou-sama (demon king) and devil side as a trope, the embellishment of magic in general... Yeah, it is full of haram things that are glorified.

When it comes to the casual sense I think it's rare for casual watchers but not everyone makes anime their whole life like weebs , on the other hand watching anime around people is risky even if it's pg 13 because it can get weird or cringy sometimes or it can get sexual a little as well although there are a few shows that have this sexual or cringe thing very low like attack on Titan .

waifus nier automata waifus madoka magica waifus genshin impact waifus atelier meruru. the waifus are infinite or probably 1 billion waifu and growing. one after another. and its a waste of time and better do 10,000 salawat instead of watch anime there are so many waifus in all these different shows and games that it seems like they are infinite. With new anime, games, and characters constantly being released, it’s easy to see how someone might feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of characters that fans can obsess over. This endless cycle can make people feel like they are spending too much time on anime and waifus, chasing after characters that are fictional and never-ending. In a more practical sense, the message suggests that instead of spending hours watching anime and getting attached to waifus, it might be more beneficial to do something spiritually enriching, like reciting 10,000 salawat (praises for the Prophet in Islam). The point is that investing time in spiritual or meaningful activities can be more rewarding and fulfilling than spending time on things that don’t offer long-term value.
