They are both spiritually intelligent. They are deep actualized people which definitely comes through in their art. I find it refreshing to watch what seems to me like genuinely honest artist with integrity. I hope this is the new trend and future of film instead of more of hollyweird fake ass superficial garbage.

So when people are really listening to each other and there are no ego's involved, this will be the result! A genuine conversation with a relaxed vibe and real emotions. They all speak from their heart and not from their head. The questions asked and the answers given just come with a natural flow and ease. A perfect example of what happens when people are being present in the now! I've just finished the OA and it's full of beautiful life lessons if you're ready to see them!

I am painting, doing a project, this is sooooo perfect to hear while doing this. I could listen to these kind of people forever. Im so inspired by them following years of research with actual results. I live on maui and one day watched tourists watching the sunset. And really, a sunset is a sunset, but i observed those from all over the world closely standing at the edge of the water, stop and awe at the transition of day to night and the gift of a clear sky. I saw the unity of human soul in that moment; the underlying connection of human nature. This series makes me feel that moment

Such amazing and beautiful people, i feel the OA is probably the best show i have ever seen, im 40 and have seen a lot of stuff in my lifetime so far but the OA tops them all, i can not find anything to watch now because nothing is as good or satisfying to watch, the show being cancelled has really bothered me and put me in a state of depression, it is a major mistake by Netflix, why the hell do they do that but give lots of seasons to other crap shows that i personally would never watch ever, we need season 3 of the OA or even more if possible, please Netflix let Zal and Brit make more, they have something special and its exactly what movies and series have been missing for years now and thats heart, soul and magic, snap the hell out of it Netflix and get the OA back on.

48:55 Zal: I'm not a good enough director yet to be able to have captured it fully-- Brit: (laughs) That's ridiculous. Love them. Fiercely intelligent, wildly imaginative, and humble. Such a great creative team.

Those two are genuinely brilliant. The OA is my favorite show or movie EVER. Mind bending? Yes. Inspired and inspiring yes. Just the kind of thing that makes you love the mind blowing nature of reality. The question of "what of life?" is the most awe spiring concept and it should never stop being asked or spoken about. I'm in love with this story and these people! I pray and hope for many more seasons!!! Thank you

I really enjoyed the interview. The interviewer did a great job of asking questions to touch the depth of their creative process, and Zal and Brit answered them in a wonderful way. I'm very disappointed to know that the third season was cancelled, but these two creators still have great careers ahead, and I'm very much looking forward to watching their next work.

The whole series had so many Jungian concepts and terminology in it, hard to believe they didn’t do a fair bit of research on psychoanalysis and especially Carl Jung. The entire story could have been explained with Jungian psychology.

That's what is so amazing about The OA... Almost anything of depth and substance could be applied to it, and it all works! Philosophy, quantum physics, art, music, spirituality...

It's what actually introduced me to the series ( center of applied jungian studies) , and it was mindblowingly excellent. From the dream interpretation, myths, collective unconsious, analyzing each character's personalities, and of course the shadow. Perfect way to represent Jungian theories in the film

i have been trying to write a script for ages, which is why i am watching these you tube videos about directores and writers... but it is so hard, i admit that i underestimated the level of skill and craft involved. (i thought i could wing it through intuition..lol)...but it was great just hearing how they put the hard work in for a good few years, just researching, reading and teaching themselves the skills. it defintiely helps to keep me motivated, cause i get stuck so often. and of course their integrity and truth to how they see the world and how they do want to do something that has meaning and value. i feel exactly the same way that the reason i want to write a movie is that there isnt one out there that represents me, and how i see the world. i have to create it myself. i guess if we all did that, in whatever way we can, just be the change we want to see in the world, and believe the impossible dreams can come true. i love how community is so important to her.

I am just glad Brit believes that they can learn everything and Zal joined her in learning how to write. The OA is one of the best series and Netflix (again and again) made a mistake in cancelling this show. I hope it will find a way to continue.

"I think we also believe that storytelling has to leave the storyteller, and it has to enter the audience. And that happens in The OA, because they have to believe even in the absence of evidence, or even if evidence is against the idea of believing it. But I think, then, our goal - whether intentionally or unintentionally - is that the audience then also mimics that, and has to sort of believe it on their own instead of being handed proof of some kind. That the storytelling is complete in everybody else, not just from us, because it never was ours in the first place." This was the thesis behind Part II. Do you truly believe Part III is coming? Or can't you believe in it without being handed the proof?
