I have watched a *lot* of Greta Gerwig interviews, so many I have lost count. She is so friendly, kind, and nice, and I enjoy her "company" so much it is hard to say goodbye.

Can anyone explain me why the interviewer told her not to used the word "mumblecore"!? Is there a negative connotation or something?
@ChildOfHephaestus4 жыл бұрын
Thought this too. I think it does have a bit of a negative connotation. Kinda makes it sound like some back-alley street drug of movies which makes it sound like they’re all inevitably bad, which isn’t necessarily the case with mumblecore. I guess saying “heavily improvised” or something like that sounds more complementary

I didn't understand very well what she said about filming with two cameras, someone could explain?
@natbatrat-d7e5 жыл бұрын
usually in film people use only one camera, and they repeat the scene over and over again in different angles. for every different angle, there's a different lighting, specific for that point of view. in sitcoms people usually use multiple cameras to film because the lighting is pretty standard and since it's comedy, sometimes it's nice to capture one specific moment from different points of view (you can see the good place's bloopers on youtube, they sometimes show people setting up the cameras). people would assume that it's easier and faster to shoot with multiple cameras but it isn't, in fact.

I guess there is even a KZbin video, where Greta is directing and you can notice two cameras set at different positions
