Very classy always The best actor I have known I always admire his humility,kind heart,and a real family man.For a while he gave up acting to raise his daughter and be with his family.He is great to his fans Although have watched his movies and Tv series I have not seen him in person. matlock12c My thoughts as well. He has incredible wisdom and a very realistic view of life, which is everything else but him, but he has a very realistic view of himself as well. The end result is exactly what you said: Tom Selleck is a class act, in all aspects of his life and his work. I'm sure his experience and training (got those backward) as a Navy Seal in VN helped a lot. But then, if he managed to survive that life-and-death ordeal, then he was capable of handling anything. The end-result is a man who is a master of his craft, and the bedrock of a show like Blue Bloods. It has been said that the rest of the cast looks up to him as a kind of father-figure; that comes through in the way they naturally respond to him on the screen when parent/child scenes are portrayed. I'm sure the younger cast feels very comfortable acting with him; there's not much not to like/love about him. Blue Bloods is Tom Selleck; Tom Selleck is Blue Bloods. Not a cliche; IMHO, the honest truth. He's the man we see; the series (and CBS) are also very fortunate to have Kevin Wade as the on-hand Executive Producer behind the scenes. Every interview I have seen has shown that the two have an excellent professional relationship; that goes a long way to make a series a success. When the top-dog actor and the EP can't get along, nothing good happens.

Great clip! I grew up on "Magnum P.I." re-runs in the 90's. It's cool that Selleck is wearing an updated version of Magnum's classic Rolex GMT watch. He'll always be Thomas Sullivan Magnum to me!

Tom Selleck has always been my favorite actor. I loved in Magnum PI and I love him in Blue Bloods. On hallmark he is in a Series and I look forward to see those series. His Series are the few programs that you can watch today that is a family program. God Bless You Tom Selleck.

Blue Bloods is by far my favorite series in all the 75 years of my life. It will be so sad to ever see it end. Every character has such unique parts and my interest is always there 100%. Also I do like the old fashion way that Henry calls Tom, Francis. Love the Irish I married one even though I’m Italian. Keep the show going it’s by far the best. My favorite series before Blue Bloods was the Soprano’s but by far I am really hooked on Blue Bloods as the best.

Loved him as Jesse Stone too in the Robert Parker stories....would love to see Tom Selleck as Lucas Davenport in the John Sandford novels...but most of all i think he is a classy man...heard several stories of his kindness.

Very charismatic and humble man, always great seeing Tom Selleck. I haven't seen the show Blue Bloods yet, but will no doubt get around to watching it. Magnum, along with CHiP's were my two favourite American shows as a child growing up in the UK. "Congratulations, guys, you just staked out a roll of toilet paper."

Thank Tom Selleck, for keeping the Vietnam flash backs in Magnum. Your were right , at that time we were not seen in a good light by most of the people. Even though I had been married two years and drafted, most all my company ended up in Vietnam as 11B10 ( Infantry) and called many terrible things up on returning, all of no choice of our own. Not guilty of most all of things we were accused. In a lot of the things it was the opposite of what we did. 1st Air Cav. central highlands 1967 Airborne , airmobile and AirAssault PS: did not know you co-wrote Jesse stone and wish you had made more Westerns . You are great in anything you do, but loved the westerns. Same age as you and Sam Elliot.

PS: Even in a small down state college town in ILL. people did not give us a descent attitude up on return. Even if they did come right out and say anything, it was the comments and they way they said, little comments. fifty plus years and I still remember the sting, even though I tried not to remember or let it go.

The dinner scene from Blue Bloods, is an extraction from an old TV series called The Ghost and Mrs Muir. Mrs Muir was played by Hope Lange. Most, who view Blue Bloods do not know or understand the significance of the dinners. Look at Grandad.

They did playoff both new Magnums and the male Magnum won out and yes it is bigger explosions and a change of race. I couldn't like the new one, he breaks in (Halo) and out of North Korea, freeing folks along the way and beating a.. THE North Korean Army. They jumped the Shark.
