Can you fix socialising problems with autistic children? Why are autistic children so difficult? THIS is what we’re talking about today. In this video I’ll begin by validating and outlining the problems with autistic children, or in other words, the reasons why autistic children are more difficult to care for than neurotypical children. And in the second part of this video I go through solutions to make parenting autistic children a little bit easier.
I go through my favourite tips and solutions for fixing things like socialising with autistic children (I have the BEST tip for this, please try it!), improving food aversions and emotional regulation, and other long term solutions like gentle parenting and family structures that can improve your family life for you and your autistic child.
I think this is so important to talk about, because if we validate frustrated and overwhelmed parents that are trying super hard, plus share some practical solutions, we cover the whole basis. It is important to validate the struggles of the parents as well as the struggles of autistic children. So in this video, we’ll do just that!
I hope you find this video helpful! If you have any questions or looking for clarifications on anything I said, please comment below and I’l make sure to prioritise this video since this is truly important to me!

You aren't thinking about when you outlive your child. This is a significant concern for parents of special needs kids. Who will be there for them?

Do you mean that if you have more children they’ll be able to care for the disabled child? I’ve never heard this perspective before and I don’t quite understand it. ❤️

It feels like a really unfair reason to bring more life into the world. I think there can be other options for this (care after parents pass)

Having siblings is a learning experience for all children. Learning to share and be part of a family group is important. Children will need to learn this later at school and in society. It's also a good learning experience for the parents. Parents learn that their child isn't always right when they have to mediate arguments between the children. Parents of an only child usually struggle with other people not perceiving their child as being the focal point in everybody's lives.

I hear you saying that you think it’s important for children to understand socializing skills such as compromise and sharing. I think parents should be able to choose whether to have 0, 1 or 3 children. ❤️

@@SagaJohanna of course people should only have as many children as they want! You are trying to discourage people from having more children if they have an autistic child and saying that it isn't good for the autistic child. I don't agree for several reasons: it's not your decision or business; autistic children benefit from having siblings even if they struggle with sharing their parents; and I think you are projecting your own personal experiences, assuming your struggles will be in other autistic kids' lives.

Well that’s easy to say when you don’t have a child of your own or a child with special needs. You need to think more broadly about this including the very likely possibility of outliving your child- who will care for them ?

I hear you saying a few things. Do you fear that I don’t know how difficult it is to desire more children when your family is struggling? Do you need me to understand your perspective? ❤️

Your take on accidents ? Most pregnancys are not planned not a lot of people have that luxury of planning out all pregnancys.

Oh I wish women had the human right of planning accidental pregnancy. I understand abortion might be impossible for some, I’m not sure I could go through with it although I fully support anyone who does. My mom had an abortion before me. Me and my husband use condoms every time we have sex since this prevents accidental pregnancy. ❤️

@@SagaJohanna how TF can a "accidental" pregnancy be planned and nice that life can't happen to you hun keep your bougie life opinions in your lane and if you think differently look around your bland beige colored, two car garage house and think about why your lane is perfect for you.

You’re not considering reincarnation and karma, and the fact that certain souls choose to grow up in certain family groups, with particular parents (from whom they can gain special traits or abilities that they may need for that life). Because of karma and tasks that they want to work out and develop through, some souls are even drawn to family constellations where they will suffer, since the life path that they’ve chosen (which may include suffering) may be most expedient one for gaining the spiritual development that they seek. One of the mysteries of life is that we actually learn and evolve through suffering. That’s not to say we should seek out suffering nor wish to cause suffering to others, but simply: that life in and of itself has suffering, and that incarnating souls seek out situations that they can learn from, such as (in some cases) being members of large families, even poor or disadvantaged families. Now at the same time, there are a lot of complications and sources of dissonance in our present age brought about by the many wars, abortions and other travesties that are causing souls to have to reroute and come into life via other paths (i.e. other families-even countries) than the ones they had originally chosen-such as I suspect may have happened in your case), so it’s hard to know for sure who belongs where anymore. However, we have to appreciate the wise guidance of the universe, and trust that things happen for a reason-even being born into large families that may not be able to provide the attention and resources of a smaller family. Yet things happen for a reason. For example, if in a previous life you lived selfishly and only for yourself, you may be drawn to a situation that causes you to have to rely on and support others in ways that you missed having had the opportunity to do so previously.
