Stephen, I know there's a chance you may never read the comments on these particular videos. But if you do, just know that I marvel at your incredible strength in what could only be called the worst of times. I don't know if any of us could do what you're doing so soon after such a tragic loss, but know that we love and support you, Mal, Kepler, and everyone else Sagan's life has touched in this very difficult time. I know there's not much more we can do other than say "Sorry for your loss." But if there's anything your Stephenites/Grandchildren can do to help ease your pain, please don't hesitate to call on us. I immediately started crying watching this. I have been extra affectionate to my cats the last several days after hearing about Sagan. Especially the cat who is technically mine because she spwnds the most time with me and is about 8 or 9 years old. But when I heard the chirps from Sagan as he played I lost it because she plays the exact same way. Love you both and know you two are strong people and just need to take it one step at a time.

After hearing Stephen say he hadn't recorded him playing with Sagan so he didn't think he had any footage of him and Sagan playing together, I immediately found my cat's dangly you and started playing with her

Same I have given a lot more attention to my cat, which is difficult to do because he is very clingy Anyway he is still young so he needs a lot of playtime after dinner but he doesn't meow or anything of the sort, he does a lot of funny faces and maneuvers though

Reminds me of playing the 'stick game' with our currently remaining cat, Kiwi. We had long patches of grass around my parents' place, and we'd rustle a thin planting stake in the grass, watching Kiwi pounce after it and try to catch it. Kiwi's naturally very jumpy, so she'd spring all over the place and often end it by rushing up a tree for some reason. I admit I keep thinking of Sagan in the present tense, it's hard to write 'was' - just as it has been with Gracie and Molly. Goes to show that in some form, Sagan will always be with us. Best wishes as ever to you, Mal and Kepler. All three of you are amazingly strong and we cherish you, and Sagan, for the joy you've brought to the world and the good in your hearts.

My god I’m 16 now and when they got Sagan and Kep when I was 9. My god watching them grow up was very nice. I kinda liked watching them because one of my own cats died at an early age and watching them slowly grow really felt like they were distant pets. I’m sorry for your lost Stephen and Mal. I remembered you posting this. It's such a cute video. I hadn't really heard Sagan being too vocal on the vlog, so hearing him being all excited and happy, it made me happy too. At the time, I kinda of thought it was odd at the time since you usually don't do this sort of thing. It always stood out. Yah know, I've had things like that happen a lot to me. I end up doing something odd or something happens, but for some reason, those little things come back to us in the end and usually for the better, I think. When you were talking about how you hadn't filmed this, I can imagine the relief you felt when you realized you had this. I know it's not the best quality, but I don't think anyone's going to complain. I recall Maesa having that picture of Sagan the last time she visited you. Maybe it'd be a good picture of him to keep around? Though, it may be a tad too soon to have his picture around. I've honestly been thinking of making a bead keychain to look like Sagan, but I've been worried about it. It'd be a good mommento, I'm sure. Still, you never really know how something will effect you and having something like that around even on a backpack, well, it makes me wonder if it'd help having it or hurt seeing it. If I get around to making it, it won't be for a little bit I think. Sorry for being a bit rambly! You and Mal keep healing the best ways you can.
