Veena is one of my favorites. I was introduced to sagar veena by one of the you tube video where respected Noor zehra was playing this amazing instrument. Salute,,, and warm greetings from Bangladesh.

This is one of the most mesmerizing instruments I've ever heard. Hope there are many compositions with it.

This instrument is just amazing: the colours, the textures, the moods it creates, I can just imagine how magnificent it would be to hear it live. Two drawbacks are: I guess it is very expensive, and the size: imagine hopping on the tube on your way to rehearsals with that instrument with you. Just like a drum kit, it is an instrument that necessitates a vehicle of a certain size to carry it....I think that 13 taraf strings could be added...it has the room underneath to accommodate them, or you can put them laterally, like a lyre. It would sound even more amazing.....
