LOL! Our ethnic cultural practice is also to eat meat during Durga Puja and offer meat to Goddess Kali during Diwali. Some people will get offended when this is mentioned.
@sanjaychakrabarty20193 жыл бұрын
@i love life Better to keep your ignorance within yourself. Don't try to teach Bengali culture to Bengalis. We have been eating meat for ages, puja rituals included Narabali = human sacrifice. Documented evidence of meat eating Bengalis in Chandimongolkabya, Bengali Hindu ritual text written in 13th century. Don't tell me it were Marxists who went back in time to write that. Also, sacrificing goat, buffalo etc. to Shakti is not obsolete, it is followed every where in WB/Bangladesh/Tripura, wherever Bengali Hindus live. Even the Kalighat Temple in Kolkata still has Niramish Mangsho Bhog.
@kapildhunna96233 жыл бұрын
@@sanjaychakrabarty2019 Isn't offering meat to goddess is practiced in few temples only. Mainly those temples where Kali Kula devis are worshipped through Vaam Marga like Maa Kaamakhya Devi, Tarapeeth of Birbhum , Devi Chhinmasta Templa of Rajrappa etc

@@sanjaychakrabarty2019 in our Hinduism 🕉🕉 meat is not allowed , even srila prabhupada (ISKON FOUNDER) he is a Bengali He said that also in Hinduism , if you could not kill to eat meat then you can but if you not then don't do . We bengali ethnicity peoples always eat fishes this is real truth.

I am non Bengali but durga puja is not only a puja for me but it is related to emotions and values. I always count the days when durga would come and i visit pandels and worship maa Durga and give Pushpanjali . I wait for whole year when I would see sandhi puja and 108 diyas and lotus to worship universe mother. I wish when I would see sindur khela and visarjan and give last pranaam with tears to mother goddess. Durga Puja is now not only a bengali puja but it is now celebrated in all community and even in different religions and different parts of world. Maa Durga is not only mother of humans, she is the mother of univere and she is the source of all power and energy. She even the mother of all creatures and animals also . That's why she is called jagdamba, means mother of universe. Jai maa Durga
