Thank you for the various tips in maintaining an acoustic guitar. However, with regard to loosening the guitar strings everyday after play is strongly recommended by most guitar dealers as this will extend the fret board to stay in perfect shape with appropriate tension in the truss rod. My new guitar had not been loosened for a week that subsequently resulted in fret buzzing and flat sound in some frets in the lows as well as in the highs. Had fixed this by slowly turning the truss rod nut to two-O-clock with a truss rod lever key. Since then I regularly untune/tune after/before play which is bugging, but the guitar remains in a perfect shape though. Thanx!

No you don't need to tune and untune if you play it regularly...but when you're going to take a leave for more than 20 days then it's advisable to untune.. Untuning it regularly is a mess.
