Ah that was my ex. He wanted to keep me hidden, quietly in a box. And take me out only when it served him. He quite literally told me that my dreams were unrealistic and i would never achieve them. It really seemed to me that he was afraid of what would happen if I did. Like as if it would take attention away from him so he wanted me to not only dim my light for him but to shut it off entirely. After we broke up i realised that it was because he didn't have much light off his own so he was siphoning off mine to fuel his life. But he couldn't do it if the rest of the world could see it because then they'd see what he was doing to me

Everything you said makes sense, and all I can do is laugh at the person who has too much time to watch my move, I walked away from this situation years ago and I kept having dreams about the person and I had a feeling I was going to see this person again, I just kept having dreams about overcoming it and the person and now I don't pay that person no mind.
