I really look forward to this series. I only know his tremolo study from book 3, and I’m using it for developing my right-hand technique by trying various patterns.

Hello, Thank you very much for these videos. It seems to me that Sagreras' studies are underestimated. No ? Each of them is pretty to listen to, which is not the case with all studies ... What criteria do you use for "recommended studies"? Is this the technical element of the study, or are these the ones you prefer? By the way, thank you also for Carcassi's studies. Your interpretation is my favorite of those I know ...

Hi. Thanks for watching. I recommend both attractive studies and useful ones. Basically, if I really enjoyed playing them or got some use out them I'll recommend.

Do you have any recommendations for Sor studies rather than all of Segovia studies, etc.? I’d rather focus on the necessary subset instead of all of them, much like you have done with Sagreras.

If I was recording sor studies now I would do the same. I've only done the 20. I want to cover lots of different composers while I can still play! There's a lot of repertoire out there!

Oh I realised that, I just don't know the others well enough. Segovia probably did a good job of cherry picking the best, but he maybe missed a few gems!

@@davidjaggs I haven’t double-checked this, but I believe most, but not all, of the études Segovia picked are of the intermediate to advanced variety.

Why did you choose these studies and not others? What is specific about each one that is significant?

I don't know of another series of studies that goes from absolute beginners to advanced. Also, they are not recorded much so I thought it could be useful to the guitar community. Thanks for watching 👍
