Tom, just watched this video and hit a bucket of balls. I have never hit such “crispy” irons in my life! I’m 71 and your videos are my last resort in being a better and more confident golfer! The 4 steps or swing thoughts were: 1-Upper arms pinned to chest 2-Straight but not stiff left arm, 3-Weight mainly on left leg, 4-A shallow backswing and downswing. I added one more step which really helped significantly, a slow backswing! Thanks for affording us golfer with instruction that is awesome and works! Stay well and continued success with your learning program! Best, Lou.

Your setup and posture are just like Grant Waite's, PGA tour pro. I've copied it and it's helped my irons so much. Your flared stance relaxes me and keeps me balanced and forward. Thank you!

Really enjoy your great teaching been with you for 6months and you tell it like it is I like that finally, been using the weight forward for 8 months works and has lower my scores 72 and shooting in the 70s feels good to play well and less frustrating 👍

Golfing for about 4 months watching your videos and no lessons, my game has improved exponentially. My first goal to break 100 (I know it’s not that impressive) finally happened a couple of weeks ago. You Sir deserve all the credit for that. Thanks, Tom !

Two things I’ve taken away from your teachings. 1. Think less 2. Move less That simplicity is beautiful. That approach is gold! I’ve been following you since about April or May of ‘23 and I have made massive strides in shot reduction. I constantly shot over a 100blows per round, lately lower 90’s. If I could sort my putting out, I’d be scoring mid to low 80’s. I’m 60yrs young and joined a club for the first time in my life, got lessons from a PGA Pro for the first time in my life too. I’m going to be a single figure handicap player in the next 12months thanks Tom! 👍🏻

I started watching Tom’s videos about a month ago. Slowing my tempo and having quiet hands are the two biggest things I’ve gotten from them. My second round since making those swing changes I went out and shot an 80, which is now my personal best by 5 strokes!! Listen to this man, everyone! A simple swing is a consistent swing!

For real, Saguto has helped me come back out of the limbo-esque rabbit hole Ive been in for years. When I was 12-16 years old I was a talented golfer. I HAD it. Then I stopped playing once teenage life took over. Then in my mid 20's I went back and I was lost yet confident I knew the right way because of the past. I had no hope. I watched videos etc. But I didnt have any foundation. Saguto, who I think is near my age, showed me the original map of golf. I just followed his advice. Now I have solid foundation and confidence. Thanks man!!! I would love to talk to you sometime and just brainstorm with you. If you even see this. lol

Hello I'm a one-arm one-eyed 5 handicap golfer and my name is Duff. So, is it appropriate to call a bad shot a duff? No! When you Duff it, you hit another perfect shot. That's what they tell me anyway :) Please don't call a bad shot a duff. bad is bad I discovered how to play golf as you teach it. I love the way you teach, keeping the focus on simple and repeatable ball striking, just the basics, first! When you master ball striking, hitting the club's sweet spot, nearly every time (95% perfect shots), then move on to course management. Because course management doesn't mean anything if you can't hit your targets. Keep up your awesome work!!

Thank you for this. Many other instructors make the golf swing way more complicated than it needs to be especially for high handicappers/beginners. My whole life I struggled with consistency, direction, slicing etc. After watching this and your magic trailing elbow videos, I'm a completely different golfer. Only been out twice since, but already the improvements are incredible, hitting pure, straight and long. confidence has gone up, and I'm enjoying the game more than I ever have. All because I stumbled across your videos. Thank you so much.

Thanks, the straight left arm tip immediately fixed my chipping. I was chipping well but then I started to dig my chips into the ground (the club that is) and particularly with lofted clubs such as the 58 degrees sand wedge and this meant more of the dreaded deaccelerate and duff them (occasionally initially and it then started to get more often at practice) . The straight arm tip immediately fixed that - better outcomes and higher percentages of good shots (more consistent). Tom: You also make it easy to understand why and what to do, you keep it simple. Great video as always, Tom. IMO, the best thing about your lessons is the simplicity in each and, with that simplicity, I've found I've been able to relax and enjoy golf more. I'm 74 in 2 weeks and, after my bout with Covid back in April, I've had chronic pain in both my shoulders but the simple swing you show keeps me from any additional pain so, kudos to you. It's off topic , possibly, but I learned something about my grip just by observing you: my left thumb position was a bit retracted and I had little snap to my wrists. I've started extending my left thumb a bit more so it resembles your grip and, my last 2 times out, I've improved my driving by 30 yards and more at times. My crispy irons shots are a bit hit and miss still but hitting a good one like you do is phenomenally satisfying for me. Thanks again for your common sense approach to hitting a golf ball and may God bless you!

I sincerely appreciate your kind words regarding my instruction content and teaching style, and I am thrilled to learn of your improvement and enjoyment!! I am learning so much! Please stay on R humble too. I watch there primarily. My friends who are actual golfers (occasional high 70's) are asking me, "What happened?!" Occasionally, I am out driving them (I'm in my 50's they are very, healthy 40's and long drivers) and they're blown away. My fairways are 90% good shots. Not Pro shots, but straight and mostly krispy. Go Tom Go! Oh yeah, I've only been playing since Covid and the more I "learned" from other places - the worse my slice became. 4 Saguto videos later on my other favorite viewing location, and Man(!), I am dropping strokes in the fairway and off the tee. Haven't even started on putting improvements. This stuff works for me!

I had a lesson with a new instructor the other day, "keep your arms straight, open the face, swing it back to knee height, hinge up with the wrists ..." Immediately my already mediocre golf swing became mediocre AND completely unpredictable. Ignored all that, just did exactly what you said in this video, and I'm finally hitting straight shots with distance I can enjoyably play through a round with. Thanks Tom.

Sadly, many well-intended yet misguided teachings of widely accepted "conventional" instruction - such as taking the club straight back, turning the shoulders level while independently lifting the club, shifting into and torquing against a firm trail side, actively rolling the hands through impact, etc. - have relegated generations of golfers to the vast abyss of chronic frustration (and chronic back/knee/hip pain as well). I’m doing my best here to clear these up, put an end to the madness, and get folks on the path towards consistently crispy, powerful, body-friendly ball striking bliss. I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing and putting it into play!! @Jocky690 - Hopefully, the replies you've already received here provide sufficient validation. As for what the online school offers over and above this YT channel, there is no comparison. The episodes on this free channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, feels, and/or common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. They are certainly not intended to be taken as the comprehensive, sequential learning platform that is my online school, which I strongly recommend to anyone who truly wishes to get on the proper path towards owning a body-friendly, powerful, low-maintenance swing rather than trying to haphazardly piece things together through random YT videos. That's where - in addition to detailed lessons and drills that take you through the entire motion step-by-step, position-by-position from setup to finish - you'll find diagnostic tools for identifying and resolving swing and ball flight issues when they arise as well as all my short game instruction, plus advanced level courses. Thousands of folks across the globe - including many seasoned, low-handicap, competitive players - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result, and I'm happy to let their unsolicited testimonials tell the story: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. If you prefer, for a starting point here is a link to my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” where you can learn some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner: go.saguto.golf/ I hope to see you soon in the school and on your path towards consistently crispy ball striking bliss! @SagutoGolf. Thank you again for your work and videos. Was trying the 'inside/over the top swing' that Christo of miracle swing experience and it brought me back to you. Your swing also comes deep inside on the back swing and it seems, i ended up swinging like you after all. I have to let the trail arm fold on its own though, if i try and intentionally create an elbow fold, it works very poorly and the swing comes off of plane. Letting the club naturally go deep inside on the back swing, with upper arms glued of course, while keeping that lead arm as straight as possible and letting the trail elbow fold on its own, with no manipulation from me, then the swing is golden. Thank you Tom Saguto, this swing really is the most repeatable swing i have tried, when done properly. peace love light

I sincerely appreciate your kind words, and I'm very glad to know that my instruction content for this fantastic swing system is resonating with you. It seems as though you are doing an excellent job of incorporating it into your swing!! With regard to your comment on "letting things happen", I am in complete agreement. If we pre-establish the connections properly in the setup and have a foundational base that facilitates a full centered turn without restriction, then once we've ingrained the correct actions through sequential drilling and repetition we can entrust the motion to the big muscles and allow the arms, wrists, hands, and club to simply go along for the ride and respond accordingly as if on autopilot. The power accumulators - including the proper wrist and trail arm actions - will then naturally load and fire with no contrived manipulations or precise timing necessary, thereby returning the face to the position pre-established at address. It's called "giving up control to gain control", and it's the formula for consistently blissful ball striking and seemingly effortless power. By the way, if you've not already joined, have you considered enrolling in the online school and taking your learning - and your game - to the next level? Love Tom and am a member of his golf school. I've simplified my golf swing by getting into a perfect position when the club is at first parallel going back. I stop there and check to make sure everything is perfect and then restart my swing from there. It looks weird but I get into much better top swing positions that way

I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you! Your comment is precisely the reason why I do my best to convey multiple “feels” or thoughts throughout the swing wherever possible. We're all different physiologically and psychologically, and something that resonates effectively with one golfer may not necessarily work for another. However, no matter the variety of suggested feels/thoughts offered for a particular element of the swing, they are all directed at getting different golfers to achieve the desired positions, motions, and ball striking results. This is one reason why the comprehensive, structured, step-by-step learning platform of my online school is so effective, and why thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many seasoned, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result. Hi Tom. I'm in UK and quite new (ish) to golf and have done loads of research , had lessons etc but this video is the best so far. Should have saved myself some money and just watched your video tips. So brilliantly simple and effective... Was just wondering about ball position though as i'm being taught to play with ball central but I think i hit it better if it's quite far forward. Would a ball more towards left foot work with this swing ?

I sincerely appreciate your kind words, Scotty, and I'm very glad to know that my lesson content and teaching style are resonating with you and providing clarity in the muddied, overly complicated, oft-conflicting realm of golf instruction. While this system affords you some leeway, in general once my students and members show some level of proficiency with the swing I suggest that they migrate to a stock ball position that is in the middle of the stance for short irons, two balls inside the lead heel for middle irons, and creeping more forward for the longer clubs - the farthest forward being even with the inside of the lead heel for the driver (with the stance width increasing as we move from shorter to longer clubs). From there they can make incremental tweaks to see how different positions affect impact quality and shot shape. Hey man I've been searching low and high for such a great simple golf lesson. I was always that guy who'd be out on the course hacking at balls like I was focusing on nowhere. Eventually I just gave up because people tend to hate me for how long I spend out there, investigating miles for my lost balls. Thanks Tom. Simple efficient and effective golf instructions. I was much more accurate and effective when I kept my weight on my forward leg like you said. Do you think at some stage - when I've got the basics - that I will ever place my weight more evenly when I "load up" my back swing...or is that weight forward a permanent feature?
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
I'm very glad to know that my instruction is resonating with you, Brian! Actually, this body-friendly, powerful, consistent, low-maintenance swing system is rooted in physics, geometry, and human physiology, and it is modeled on empirical observations of the game's most prolific ball strikers. As such it does not discriminate by age or ability - from kids to seniors and everyone in between, inclusive of the best players in the world. Watch any Tour event on TV and you'll see a significant number of players executing these motions, a fact corroborated by just how many of them have a very centered swing with the lead knee flexing and the trail leg straightening during the backswing, their lead arms on or very close to their tilted shoulder planes, and their hands deep behind their trail shoulder at the top. The need for a weight shift in the golf swing is one of the greatest fallacies ever taught, and it has led many an amateur golfer into the vast abyss of chronic inconsistency and frustration. Can you have some transfer of pressure into the trail side in the takeaway? Yes - as long as you keep your center intact and don't shift off the ball. But you best be back into your lead side by time you get to the transition. In the swing system I teach we start with our weight forward (generally 55/45 for the short and mid irons, 60/40 for the longer clubs), gradually add more forward weight load into the transition (70/30), 80/20 halfway down, 90/10 impact, and 95/5 finish. There's no "weight shift"; instead, it's just a gradually increasing load onto the lead side. And the result is a centered, low-maintenance, body-friendly, consistent, and tremendously powerful swing. I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you, Michael, and I hope it performs well when you put it into practice! I was using a 7 iron in this video. Tom, - great advice and as always building on your simple concept. One question. When i pause your swing video at the top, I see that nice straight-trail leg but I notice your lead/ left knee stays wide of the trail knee--maybe pointing at the ball. At times , My left knee tends to collapse, pointing to the right foot when I'm at the top. Have you ever spoken about lead knee and maintaining some separation there? I am following your guidance and genuinely improving but don't want to get off track. Thanks!
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
I'm glad to know that my instruction is resonating with you, Bill! In this system - and no matter which club you are swinging - in the backswing the lead knee always works straight down in the direction established at address - which should be flared slightly outward towards the target. This keeps the weight forward and the swing center intact. Any inward movement of the lead knee will shift the center and low point backwards. This can lead to inconsistency and may also cause some discomfort to the knee. Here are a couple of videos specific to the knee action: - kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6Gsf4CFl6p0lc0 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4C2fIB8bb2SsLM Really though, the level of detail you seek is best found in the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of my online school, and it will make for a far more efficient and enjoyable learning process rather than haphazardly trying to piece things together through these channel videos that jump around randomly from topic to topic. The school is where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find in-depth instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step, position-by-position from setup to finish. With weight forward (60/40) do you add more weight on the front leg during the back swing or just keep it the same throughout?
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
In this swing system we start with our weight forward (generally 55/45 for the short and mid irons, 60/40 for the longer clubs), gradually add more forward weight load into the transition (70/30), 80/20 halfway down, 90/10 impact, and 95/5 finish. @SagutoGolf2 ай бұрын
The golf swing is indeed overly complicated in particular by one part of the human body, Alan: the brain and all the swing nonsense and misguided instruction it has been fed. Garbage in, garbage out; and countless golf swings have sadly been trashed as a result. This is not saying that golf is "easy" as it most certainly is anything but. However, if we can simplify the swing so as to eliminate variables and thereby not have to rely on timing and/or exceptional hand-eye coordination - which we can - then consistently desirable results can be achieved without having to continuously work so hard. So we put in the time and effort on the front end to ingrain the proper setup and motion in the online school, add in an occasional swing video analysis lesson as needed to keep things on track, and then low maintenance, powerful, predictable, body-friendly ball striking bliss can become our norm going forward. Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson and I hope it performs well for you! Tom

Tom, I really enjoy your videos and teaching style. Weight forward has helped me improve but I still occasionally hit behind the ball,i.e., ground/ball vs ball/ground. Are you focusing on the back of the swiing as swing into impact. Thanks
@SagutoGolf11 ай бұрын
Hi Joe, I'm very glad to know that my instruction content and teaching style are resonating with you!! I believe you meant to ask if I am focusing on the back of the ball? I personally just look at the top of the ball as I find that helps me to keep my head in place throughout the motion - a very important swing key for consistency. That's me. Some have success focusing on a particular quadrant of the ball or even a specific dimple. Still others do well with concentrating on a spot in front of the ball. You have to figure out what works best for you and your tendencies. As for hitting the ground first, consider the following possibilities: 1) Ball position is too far forward, 2) Hands are too far back at address (they should be in line with the inside of your lead thigh), 3) The swing center and low point are drifting backwards at some point during the motion (face-on video will help you determine this), 4) The downswing is steep and/or the path is out-to-in, 5) Early extension of the trail arm during the downswing (also known as "casting"), 6) Flipping/scooping through the zone, 7) Loss of relationship with the ball (shoulder angle flattening, loss of tilt). Though not an exhaustive list, those are the primary causes of fats, thins, and tops. By the way, always begin with the setup - in this case the first two possibilities - prior to diving into a swing intervention. While there are certainly videos on my channel that address this topic, a better option for you would be my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker”: go.saguto.golf/ It's a great way to gain a fundamental understanding of this system as well as an introduction to the instruction style that has thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many seasoned, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - enjoying the best golf of their lives: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, Stack nTilt has definitely saved my body and taught me a lot about swing Fundamentals. I have the accuracy and hit the ball around about the optimum distance for each club. Stack n tilt shines when it comes to the fairway woods. That being said and i guess that i am being greedy but i want more distance. On average i hit my standard loft 7 iron 150 - 155 yards. But from time to time I can get it uo to 170 yards So how can you generate more distance with S&T? Is it better compression or faster swing speed or something else?
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
I'm very glad to learn of your improvement through this powerful, low-maintenance, body-friendly S&T swing system. Nice job!! Typically, once this swing is properly running on autopilot golfers experience significant increases in length. If you are relatively early in the process, then you are likely still ingraining your "feels" and thinking mechanical thoughts (although if you say you are already getting "optimal" yardages, I fail to see where there is much of a residual issue in this regard...😎). All other things being equal, better compression/smash factor and higher clubhead speed will indeed produce more distance. When you develop sufficient confidence in the motion that you are comfortable "giving up control", you'll be able to just trust it and let it fly. At that point you'll have made that giant leap from playing "golf swing" to playing target-focused golf, and by then you should be seeing your yardages increase through the bag. If you've not already joined, have you considered enrolling in the online school and taking your learning - and your game - to the next level? Tom. Great video. I don’t know if you realise this but the first move in your downswing is that you move your left hip out of the way. Do you do this deliberately or is it instinctive? Thanks!
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed it, David! The lateral targetward action of the hips acts as a governor to prevent a premature over-rotation and thereby enables the player to keep his upper torso square without having to fight his body. Most amateur golfers already have plenty of the rotational component; they need to build in the lateral hip slide to suppress the early-onset spinout that causes so many to get steep and across the line. Keeping the toes open - especially with the the lead foot - makes it easier to replicate the swing with the proper weighting and balance. Really seeing that in your video today.
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
Indeed it does, Darrell - nice observation!! The flaring of both feet 10-20 degrees facilitates the proper amount of body-friendly, free-flowing hip turn back and through. This is a major power move that also keeps the club traveling on the correct path. If you were to square your feet so that they were perpendicular to the target line, then your hips would be impeded from turning sufficiently in the backswing (which would then inhibit the shoulders from executing a full and effortless turn) and from releasing properly in the downswing to propel the club through the zone. yes, fabulous lesson. hitting little shots with just the left hand on the club really is the best first lesson. when we look at the teachings of developmental psychologist: jean piaget, it becomes clear to us all that the first thing to develop in the swing are the "innate striking mechanisms". when we warm up we start with a wedge and build up to a full swing; but, really we should go thru the bag hitting little half shots before we build up to a full swing.

hi Tom. do you have a video that talks about the release? meaning when to start turning the hands, arms and wrist during the downswing.
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
With regard to the erroneous notion that we need to manufacture some type of a rolling or flipping "release", given the inability of most folks to spend sufficient time at the range to lock in the required exactness of this action this misguided thought has led countless golfers astray. It's not something that most pros are trying to actively manufacture during the split second that the clubhead is traveling a distance of approximately 6' from parallel to parallel at speeds in excess of 100 mph. The forearms will naturally "trade places" from pre- to post-impact, but this should not be construed as a contrived move (although many a casual observer has gone down that rabbit hole). There really ought not be any active manipulation of the hands through the zone and attempts to precisely time any such rolling or flipping - which does nothing for swing speed - have relegated many an amateur to the vast abyss of inconsistency and frustration. Here are a couple of my channel episodes that may help to clarify: - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJaVnIRqacatgJY - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iabRdIVrqq-Sl9E - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKiag62pqdZnnbs Here is a link to my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” where you can learn some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner: go.saguto.golf/ Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, a question about the contact point on the ground. I’ve seen other KZbin instructors say the contact point is where your sternum is. Your contact point always seems to be below your lead arm pit? Where would you say it is? So I know where to put the ball in my stance. Thank you for your help
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
The low point in our swing circle - the radius of which is our straight lead arm - is even with the lead armpit/shoulder. I hope that helps! Tom PS: With regard to watching different videos from different sources, please be careful in navigating the muddied, overly-complicated, oft-conflicting realm of golf instruction. This is a very body-friendly motion as supported by the fact that a significant percentage of my online school members are in their 60's, 70's, and 80's - i.e.: a smorgasbord of chronic ailments, physical limitations, back/shoulder/knee/hip pain, arthritis, and joint replacements - and they are overwhelmingly elated to experience the dramatic pain-free game improvement, seemingly effortless power, and resulting enjoyment that this swing affords them. It all begins with a proper setup which provides for a free-flowing motion. Upon that good foundation a repeatable swing which produces consistently crispy impact can be built. Have you looked into the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of the online school yet? That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish. Thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many seasoned, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result, and I'm happy to let their unsolicited testimonials tell the story: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. And here's a link to my free mini-course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” if you’re interested in checking it out: go.saguto.golf/ You don't need the flexibility of a Romanian gymnast - or even of this far less pliable golf instructor - to execute this swing, experience great ball striking, and reclaim - or even exceed - yardages from years past. I hope you'll give the school some thought. Thanks, Tom

Tom - is the weight forward a stack & tilt method?
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
It is most certainly a component of Stack and Tilt, Michael. This body-friendly, powerful, consistent, low-maintenance swing system is designed to provide a lifetime of great ball striking, and since it is rooted in physics, geometry, and human physiology it does not discriminate by age or ability - from kids to seniors and everything in between, and inclusive of the best players in the world. I give all credit where it is due - including Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett for analyzing and interpreting the science, and to those who preceded them with their empirical observations of the game's best ball strikers and all their subsequent chalkboard number-crunching. I just do my best to take what they have built and convey it in my own simplified teaching style, which is fully on display in the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of my online school, where thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many seasoned, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews Here is a link to my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” where you can learn some key aspects of the S&T swing I teach in a more structured manner: go.saguto.golf/ Tom

Tom; Many teachers advocate a " low and slow" takeaway.Others say you should not do this.Then some suggest taking the club inside on the backswing,but others say this is wrong. What are your thoughts please ?
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, Here's a recent lesson on the takeaway: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqbblKiBiK-IfbM I choose to "stay in my lane" when it comes to other lesson content out there. That's certainly not a slap against any other methodologies; it's simply that I know what I teach works for me and for countless golfers across the globe who continue to flood my inbox with unsolicited testimonials of enjoying the best golf of their lives: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews A word of caution with regard to watching different videos from different sources: Please be careful in navigating the muddied, overly-complicated, oft-conflicting realm of golf instruction. It's best to commit to a system - whether it be this body-friendly, powerful, consistent, low-maintenance method or another - put your blinders on, and stick to it. And if it is the system I teach, then please strongly consider enrolling in the online school and taking your learning - and your game - to the next level. That's where - in addition to detailed lessons and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish - you'll find diagnostic tools for identifying/resolving swing and ball flight issues when they arise, plus advanced level courses, and much more. I’m an old swede and got hooked on golf some years ago. Really like Toms videos presented in a nice way. But I’ve realized that I’m 100% untalented as a golfer, too old and way too stiff. 😄 Can’t do the same moves twice,hardly once…😁 Always leaves the course frustrated and disappointed. On the range it works pretty well but directly when I tee up my body does exactly same mistakes which never work. I’ll find another hobby,building modelships or some…

Your shoulder turn looks so good. My left shoulder seems to push my head back and my shoulders seem to level out and not have the same downward angle as you. Any suggestions?
@jsusna1972 Жыл бұрын
I also have that problem, so what I do is keep my chin up. This allows the shoulders to rotate without pushing my head back. Keeping the chin up allows you to rotate and keep your head steady. If you don't, then you have to somehow get your head back to where it was when you started. Sometimes you get lucky, but most of the time you don't. So, raise your chin and look down at the ball over your cheeks instead of having your face pointing at the ball.

Hi Joseph, It all begins with a proper setup which provides for a free-flowing motion. Upon that good foundation a repeatable swing which produces consistently crispy impact can be built. For example, weight forward 55/45 (up to 60/40 with the longer clubs), both feet flared out approximately 20 degrees, and the knees similarly angled outward are prescribed setup features of the swing system I teach. This orientation provides for an unrestricted 45 degrees of tilted hip turn, at which point we only need to add another 45 degrees of shoulder turn for a full 90 degrees. The result is a centered, stress-free motion back and through, and a very body-friendly, consistent, powerful swing. @SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
I'm glad to know that you enjoyed them! Maybe..... 😎 In actuality, while I do enjoy them the course vlogs are rather difficult for me to justify from a cost-benefit perspective. They take considerable time to record and produce, and they just don't garner anywhere near the viewership and interest in comparison to the lesson videos; I must keep the desires of my general audience in mind in this regard. So, perhaps I’ll do another at some point, but my primary focuses are supporting my online school and its members while creating quality instruction content for this channel's subs and visitors. Thanks! Tom

Here is the story of my "conversion" to this swing system: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn6bnYGEp7KDe80 It is essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. To demonstrate, you'll find towards the end of this episode some practice range footage of me hitting a 7 iron, 3 wood, and driver: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWHbpJaDrrNmrJo Beyond that, if you search the word "drive" on this channel you'll see some related content.
