We have sold the RIGHT not the shares so we cannot take it in investment account.

In investment account you have to take only those things which directly impacts the investment (shares in this case). Here only 50% of the entitlement was subscribed so we considered only that in investment account.

I have one doubt sir In this problem they declared dividend for 31st march after they are declared they purchased shares on 1st June Why should we pay dividend on 1st June purchased shares

This chapter is from the point of view of investor “Investment Accounts” so we are receiving the dividend over here.

The shares purchased on 1st June were outstanding in the previous year so of-course final dividend will be received on those shares. For example you purchased shares on 1st June from some person who had it since previous year thus the shares are already outstanding in the company’s books.
