When the person who's doing the garage sale pulls out their phone and starts looking up on eBay. That's when you know you won't get any good deals believe me, I've been to enough garage sales to know.

Big hobby of mine. You handled that situation well. Very rare to see the local sellers whip out their phones like that... if that’s the case they gotta go off exact condition, last sold, then remove about 13% off of that for fees and then let’s be honest it’s a garage sale so need to remove more $ just due to that reason alone 😂 hard to get a deal but you handled like a professional. I vote more garage sale adventures with Seans!

Dude, this was a great vid! Didn't do g-sales too often because no car and that's an early bird's game. I'm a certified night owl. I used to love hitting up thrift stores in search of toys and video games. At my peak, I probably had over 2,000 physical video games. Had a ton of gems, too, but I slowly sold them off over the years. I still have a decent CIB N64 game collection. Back in the day thrift stores were an absolute gold mine. I miss those days, man. The thrill of the hunt and the degenerate tingles going up and down the fallupus when you spotted something major is just indescribable. I literally bought things for like $2~$4 and flipped them for $100~$200. Ah, the good ol' days... Sean! Have a safe and happy New Year, brother! I truly appreciate all the entertainment you provided us in 2023. Can't wait to see what you have in store for 2024!!!

I really liked this video. It is hard to get deals from sellers like that, though. Usually, in the wild, as you put it, people want bonkers cash for Pokémon cards. Not even because they know I've value but more so because they are Pokémon cards. They don't take the conditions into consideration, and it's hard to haggle when someone is pricing based off eBay. Especially since the eBay prices are usually not accurate to the value of the cards at all but usually also priced high because they are Pokémon cards. Either way it was cool to see you haggle with someone even if you didn't really get through to him. I would've honestly just walked away. I've been looking around the flea markets in town, and 90% of the cards are knockoffs, and the other 10% are usually overpriced. It's always good to find a good deal, though!
@themingler441
@themingler441 2 ай бұрын
100% people list them for ridiculous prices not taking into account condition, that they don't have to deal with shipping/handling, they don't have to spend the effort trying to find buyers, and so forth. But a lot of people just have no clue what they have good OR bad. I do a lot of auctions for Pokemon and people will list Holos and Reverse Holos as if they are something special in the modern era. Unless it's 20 years old no one cares if it's Holo or not lol

That was a great video. Very different. Raw dogging is interesting because I'm not familiar with the damage that can be caused to a card from just the toploader if the card isn't being moved around a lot. I do put sleeves on cards before putting them in toploaders but only because it sort of just made sense to me, not because I was particularly worried about damage. Does that same happen with a side loading binder if you don't sleeve it first?
