Lyrics in english: I prefer death or embers stuck to my heart or that my soul will be torn apart that it will be said in my community that I committed adultery. My best friend among women, She went in the bush one night to meet a man One day she started to scream at night She wears her gold and she detaches her jewelry She is sick with shame. But I also saw the metamorphosis of the desert, I saw a beautiful woman married to a broken man. Her hand is in his hand and she walks through the community She has a yellow skin that protects her from the wind The whiteness of her teeth are bright. I prefer death or embers stuck to my heart or that my soul will be torn apart.

Translation: I am burdened with sorrow, my heart is heavy. The songs of old and the faith of our ancestors have faded. The land cries out in silence, As I wander far from home. The hardships of life have stolen joy from our days, The deserts whisper of struggles unspoken. Our hands bear the marks of labor and pain, The weight of time is heavy on us all. Yet in this desolation, there is beauty. In the heart of the desert, there is strength and wisdom. Our heritage lives on, despite the struggles we face. We weave resilience into every step, every moment. The actual translation

This is heart-opening. A gem and a blessing we've found/ that has found us. Also, she is ONE with her instrument. Which is kinda ancient anyway. Beautiful ❤

The governments of Algeria and Morocco are doing their best to erase berber amazigh heritage
@hareniaBTS74 жыл бұрын
@@abdennourbenabbas844 They are not berber, they are touareg from NIGER nothing to do with algeria or Morocco
@abdennourbenabbas8444 жыл бұрын
@@hareniaBTS7 Of course they are berber!! They occupy a very large territory in Sahara desert ; you can find them in Algeria, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania and Morroco. They speak a dialect of berber and use the libyc script called traditionally "Tifinagh". Their spiritual capital city "Abalessa" where Lalla (means noble woman in berber) Tinhinan is burried is situated in Algeria, the city of "Tafilalt" situated in Morroco is also important for them because the legend says that queen Tinhinan came from there. Btw I am from north Algeria and I can understand what they are saying because we speak the same language in different dialects and we belong to the same tribe "Sanhaja". Just to infrom you, the word touareg itself is derived from berber language which means people living near the river, touargs identify themselves asimouhaq which is the southern variety of amazigh which means "noble man".
