Mr Sahil, If promoter holding is high with rich experience and expertise, they will have much interest in the development of the business. On the contrary, if PE firms sell stakes to FII/DII for booking profits how can business grow without efficient leadership. There are exceptions like Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, but mostly financials only.

I feel, the "down from its peak" metric is not a truly a measure of growth or value. The most important point when a stock is ATH, Is whether it was hype, frenzy, stretched valuation or anything else, like operator play.

I took Gravita at Rs 105 and Apar Industries at Rs 300. U only make exceptional returns when the P/E is rerated. That typically happens when u identified a company which is yet to get noticed by anyone's..when the FII and DII makes the first entry then the upward journey begins. My framework have worked well for me and i have made a CAGR of 40% last 5 years. 90% of mutual fund manager or pms manager cant beat that. At this point i am totally focussed to scale up my own money and retire by 2026 from my current role and hopefully get a license from SEBI to manage others fund. This was always my dream to be a fund manager.
