Divakar Satam has done his post-graduation in Advertising and Public Relations from KC college as well as a Master’s degree in Marathi Journalism and Communication from the Mumbai University.
He is Also a guest columnist for several leading Marathi newspapers which includes Maharashtra Times, Loksatta, Samana, Zee Disha, and Prahar, to name a few.
He has done his Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC) from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (Uttarkashi) and in 2008 he has founded BAAN Hikers trekking group.
From the Age of 5, he was attached towards mountains because it was hereditary. His uncle Mr Ramkant Satam used to take him in the mountains for trekking and from there it’s all started to roam in the mountains and see natural beauties.
From the last few years, he is more into Rock Climbing. He has climbed 50 plus pinnacle along with that he has trekked more then 400 mountains in sahyadri also, he is more into mentoring the people, how to do the trek in Sahyadri with the proper practice of Leave No Trace principle.
He has done various Himalayan expeditions as well.
What is Travel for him?
According to Divakar Sahyadri is open sky school. you can choose your favourite topic and go further. trekking is lifestyle its show you how you can survive in any situation with minimum resources.
