It would be such a good idea if places like Cult Beauty and others were to sell samples of foundations; even if they're only a 2ml sachet, before forking out for the full size. As we can't return products, it would certainly help to avoid mistakes and save money, especially if it's an expensive brand.

I have this foundation. I found I had to go a few shades lighter than I would normally. I am normally a neutral, but had to go for the cool undertone and thankfully this works on me. I suspect the neutral undertones are more on the warm side. The longevity isn't great though. Do NOT use a water based primer under this as it will separate like mad. It is far better with a silicone primer. For reference, I am shade 100 in Haus Labs and shade 4 in Saie . This foundation also works VERY well using the Saie glow gel as a primer (but you will need powder otherwise you will be mega glowy). I found it was light-medium coverage at best when built up. It DOES cling to dry patches, which surprised me.

Olive shades are very tricky, as they are more nuanced than other shades. Most brands cater only to the yellow leaning olive, and often ignore the olive that leans more blue, or in my case neutral; equal parts blue and yellow, technically creating green. Because it's difficult to find straight out of the bottle, I typically have to mix. Fortunately, as a colorist it's not difficult, but I do wish I didn't have to..

the absolute struggle of being green😅. Just yesterday i was getting shade matched at Ulta and the lady kept trying neutral and peach foundations when I repeatdly told her I have a an olive undertone. When I looked at the foundation in natural sunlight I looked flushed like i had a wild skin reaction.

I love the Saie liquid blushes and their cream bronzer, and lately I’ve had my eye on their concealer. The foundation does look really good on you and the redness isn’t visible on camera. Probably a really good choice for summer.xx

I’ve just recently figured out I have a light olive skin tone. It explains so much why I’ve always struggled to find a foundation match. But now I’m realizing olive undertones have their own unique challenges. I’m thinking this is too glowy for me.

I received my Saie Glowy Skin and I agree regarding the shade range jumps...I am cool light/medium and had choice of shade 4 (light cool) or 12 (light/medium cool)...I went with 12 and it's actually the perfect match. 🙄

As A dry skin I appreciate hydrating foundations and I like glow, butt I prefer my glow to come mostly from my primers or sunscreens and especially now that spring us here and summer is close is sooooo hot and sunny in Greece and as I work in the tourism field I wouldn't want to look like I'm sweaty with this foundation and ready to faint 😂 I prefer more natural looking foundations on top.I prefer to buy their glowy primer than the foundation.THANK YOU MY BEAUTIFUL FOR MAKING THOSE SO HELPFUL BEAUTIFUL VIDEOS and help us decide 🎉LOVE YOU CHARLOTTE ALL THE WAY FROM GREECE 🇬🇷 ❤❤❤ (ps you look stunning as always ❤)

I have never been able to find a foundation that works for my british pale dry and sometimes flushes red skin - until I found Saie Slip Tint. It's my new holygrail and I buy 2 at a time just in case they stop making it. It looks and feels like skin. Its not orange on me which is a miracle and it is dewy. I only need one layer with a flat soft foundation brush and it covers my dark circles enough for daytime wear.

Totally agree with you. I’m olive,too. But 15 looks so warm and a tad too dark. Even the neutral shades do look warm. I did end up not buying it

I think brands do neutral shades like that because cool is pink and warm is yellow so neutral is…orange. Whereas I think a lot of people need something less saturated 🤷🏻‍♀️(I’m a light olive, Lisa Eldridge 2.5, and I never get a good match.)

Olive undertone + dry skin is such a bummer in trying to find any type of base product. I have figured out we are somewhat shade twins in a lot of foundations. I love the La Mer Soft Fluid foundation but have yet to find a match for my skin tone. I just tried the Haus Labs in 260 - perfect color match, but even it turns out to be a lil dry, CRAZY I know. But I do love the finish. I'm gonna have to play with it and see if I can get it to work. Love your content ❤ and think your beautiful 😍

11:56 I was thinking.... Ooher. It looks like makeup because you could noticeably see it! It made me realise, just how much foundations have advanced. I'm sure it can work, with some work but who wants to be doing that? I'd liken it to the foundation available in the 70's

I’m going to steer clear of them. Skincare is skincare, makeup is makeup, I see no benefit with mixing the two. I like foundations that do what they do, I want my skincare to do its job.

I have tried their skin tint and like it a lot, it also is very glowy and not a lot of coverage so more for summer or no makeup makeup days:) The only other review I have seen of this product was not a good end result at all.

At normal human distance I would say this looks really nice on you and the shade looks pretty good. On extreme close up, full screen 4K on my 27" monitor (eek) the peach fuzz looks fine but there appears to be some 'pilling' on the jawline on both sides - maybe it doesn't play too well with the primer? Definitely looked like it was difficult to build. I'd be interested to see how it applied with a beauty blender as it did look like there were some brush stroke issues on first applying. Overall though I'd say it looks really fresh and dewy.

I'm intrigued at your reaction to the shade as not being right for you. I often think the foundations shades you use look too dark, and this one looked like it blended in perfectly with your skin. Is that a camera issue?

Others said instructions said no skin prep is needed. Primer prevented the serum from sinking in.

Many brands make the claim that no skin prep/setting is "necessary" but there is no reason you can't use a primer if that's your prefernce! I leave plenty of time between steps and primers don't block product in that way. If this foundation cannot work on top of other products there would be a major issue as most of us will want to be wearing sunscreen. Sometimes foundation just needs to dry down to look seamless, as this one did x

I'm extremely vampire pale with cool pink undertones. I have to have the lightest shade they offer be cool with pink undertones. Not the 4th shade in line be "with cool undertones", and have no pink in it?!

This is super glowy, too much for me I think. Saie does do glowy stuff though, I remember the skin tint with SPF was also super glowy.

Didn’t like it at all, I even have dry/normal skin. It was streaky and dilated my pores horribly. Westman atelier is it’s competitor but WA is much nicer formula and doesn’t sit on skin so much but blends naturally with skin. I could not even powder this formula down. It’s odd to me that this gets so many stars…I will stick to haus/nars/WA/beautycounter. All of these have something different to offer and it covers the gamut for me. I’m out in buying anymore foundations. I’m sick of chasing them down at Sephora or ordering and returning.
