It's a pleasure to watch you play these games. I consider Yoshi's Island to be almost like the swan song of the SNES - even today it's a wonderful example of masterful game design.

Thanks. Yeah, this was one of the games on my bucket list. Considering I don't have too much time left on this Earth, I need to think about getting some of the more "essential" games done. I'm thinking the next big one eventually will be Donkey Kong Country 3.

SaikyoMog I'm subscribed to a lot of people who do walkthroughs of games without commentary from beginning to end but ever since you informed us of your cancer I feel sad even though I don't know you. Sometimes for selfish reasons, I agree, like "is he gonna delete his channel or his videos in a moment of anger or frustration?" but MOSTLY because you seem like a good person and I wouldn't wish this condition to my worst enemy, much less to someone who brings me much entertainment through what I like to do best: watch people play games when they know what they're doing, non- speed-running. I still hope you will overcome it, sincerely.

AndreQozine There is always the chance that some new cure might show up, and I welcome that day. Though, while it would be nice for that to happen, I have accepted my fate pretty much. I won't be deleting my channel. The only thing I can hope for is that I eventually get around to making a "goodbye" video of sorts which a friend or family member will upload for me after my passing. The video will basically be me saying goodbye and telling people that there won't be any new videos...I would just sorta bad if I passed and no one knew and kept sending me emails and so forth asking for requests....That would be eerie (for them, not me..) We shall see though...I'm hoping I don't have to make that video for quite some time :P

I have watched these games played by Saikyo more than once, this person knows what they are doing. most of the time I would assume CHEATS!, but not this person. I appreciate every video you have produced! the silent but deadly gaming warrior!

When you waste your whole life playing video games, there's no need to cheat (though, I wouldn't have minded a bit of extra time for my GBA Double Dragon game...I got a time over at the last stage...Meh...) And the reason I'm silent is because I doubt anyone would want to hear me grumble on and on....I don't exactly have a voice for radio....Plus, without talking, people can actually enjoy the game for what it is...

I used to. But the TV tuner I had doesn't work with my newest laptop. I got a ton of Sonic Riders stuff and even a nice DMC3 video (among some others), but I think with the way things are now, I'll stick with what I do best. Dead Rising was quite fun though...Given, I more or less just used the same weapons/drinks/etc to get by everything, it was still fun....

SaikyoMog Dude I just have to say, you should be proud of yourself. I am 24yo and been playing and collecting video games (especially Nintendo games) since I was 5 and I haven't even played half the amount of games you've posted complete playthroughs of on your channel a decent amount, let alone beat and mastered them. I just do not have the dedication, raw skill or drive/love as you do haha. So thank you for doing what I can't with my favorite games. Although one more thing, you say you use a PS2 controller. I don't need to know the brand or anything like that but do you use a converter or a similar PC designed PS2 controller or something?

Ken Vio It's a normal Sony brand PS2 controller that plugs into a converter that allows for 4 of them to be plugged in. They do make ones for just 1 which I suppose was all I really need now...Though I used to bring my laptop to the college and would get 4 people playing playing various games on my arcade emulator and whatnot....Those were fun days......

Now, beating this game was a cinch, *HOWEVER* there were two extra stages were hella difficult for me - _Kamek's Revenge_ and _The Impossible Maze._ I could never beat those two...

Appears to be. Though as some people have pointed out, I do use the blue Yoshi quite a bit in my SMW run....

+SaikyoMog The other considerations I have about that is normally we love to fast track through Super Mario World (get to Star World via Donut Secret Ghost House and find ourselves on Bowser's Front Door in less than two hours), and the fact that SMW gives us 5 minutes per level. Here in Yoshi's Island, we slog through 48 stages without glitches or fast tracking, and that there's a lot more exploration than usual.

Also, are you able to record Nintendo 64? The "sequel" to this game, Yoshi's Story, has no decent 100% playthrough here on YT (a 100% playthrough of that game would be 30 melons per stage and 3 hearts). The best run I could find was a Let's Play with deaths. Ugh...

I think it's just part of their Koopa Klan culture. Kind of like how the women of Gerudo go out and have any Hylian male seed them to birth a male Gerudo who automatically becomes a King. To the Koopas, it might be similar, but I haven't played these games enough to know exactly what the situation is. Some people are just born royal.

Acabei de terminar esse game que não é fácil, a curiosidade nesse game é que todos que você joga com Mário, esse é o único jogo que o Mario é um bebê e que deve protege-lo a todo custo e onde o protagonista é o Yoshi e só usa o Mario quando pega a estrela. Prefiro mais o super mario world 1, agora só falta jogar o super mario RPG que ainda não joguei.

DakariKingMykan For me there is no next time. With the cancer I have ending my life most likely early in the middle of this year, I don't have time to really replay games. Once I'm done with a game, I get rid of it for good unless I have some reason to do a video for it again.

Man this is the longest non rpg game ive ever seen. I hope you guys have monitized these videos and all that other stuff so you can make a few dollars. I know hospital bills are outrageous. It's not suspicious. When you are near his age and have been playing SNES all the time, you just figure this stuff out naturally. Today, that sense of adventure is lost, because people will just look it up when they can't figure it out.
