This is a walkthrough / playthrough I did of the Super Nintendo game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past. I go through this in one sitting, and get all the heart containers and items. I do miss some events I suppose since I don't talk to everyone, but I do get all obtainable items.
Thinking on it....I suppose I really didn't need to collect the map or compass in each dungeon....

Hey Jeremy's Dad, 2021 here. Just confirming - this is still the best walkthrough video on KZbin for LttP. Jeremy had mad skills and it was super cool of him to do this for the community and it's still amazing and helpful, these years later. Appreciate Jeremy's work and still thankful for him, and to Dad for leaving this stuff up so we can still be using it.

I had never heard of SaikyoMog before until today, but I can certainly relate to, from what I've read, his cause of death. My father passed away from a very nasty case of MSRA he got after a second surgery on his back for his Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer he had been battling since I was 8 months old to the time he passed away in 2012 at the age of 39 (I was 13). If what I've read is true, you're in a better place now man. You fought the good fight. Although very sad, your death brings a good message to everyone on how important it is to catch cancer early. Colon cancer (which I've read was the cancer he had) has a 90% cure rate if caught early. Once again, if what I've read is true, we've truly lost a talented gamer in the gaming community. Rest easy, SaikyoMog.

This is the only game in my life I 100% completed on my own with no guides or outside help. Internet didn't exist yet, and I refused to get the guide because I wanted to prove I was good at it. A few years later I found the guide at my friend's house, hidden away in a drawer. I flipped through and read every page and to my surprise, I had found every single secret the official Player's Guide showed. Mostly I keep this to myself, as it's one of my personal proudest accomplishments... but I wanted to watch this video to remind me of the good times with my old "friend" - and I felt like this was the perfect place to share that fact. This, for me, is the greatest video game of all time.

If I ever did commentary, it would be just the information needed. First I'd talk about controls, and then basic information on how to handle enemies, etc. If there would be a hidden path / secret item / whatever nearby, I would chime in. In the second world ,getting the 4th treasure without doing the boss before making the 3rd dungeon makes the 3rd one way more easier and do the 6th before the 5th so you'll just have to use the "block maker" to hold the switch on instead of going everywhere to drop a block from the top.

Reminds me of babysitting. I let the kids borrow my treasured Harvest Moon 64 cartridge under the condition that they wouldn't touch my file. Wow I was dumb. When I got it back, my wife left me and all my animals were dead. :( :( :( I was on year 7!!!

friendlaughhard So you're saying a person just can't be good at video games? I suppose with you being 12 as you said, it might be hard to imagine that someone could spend more time than you have been alive playing video games and have gotten quite good at them, especially games like this which I've played time and time again....

friendlaughhard I'll tell you my secret, as I tell everyone. I have no life. I'm serious about this now...At my age I should be out and about with a job, wife, maybe even a kid, however, those cards were never dealt to me in life. I have wasted my entire life playing video games, and will have died spending all my time doing so as well. If it were not for my terminal cancer which will kill me early next year (according to the doctors), I might be doing other things. But for now, I'm simply doing what I enjoy doing, which is playing videos games non-stop...It's what makes me happy.... Anyways, I've been playing this game since it was new. It's one of those games that you just never get tired of. So of course I knew exactly what to do. I've beaten this game more times than I can remember. That's not to say the route I take and the strategies I use are the best. What I do ends up working, though I'm sure there are better ways to go about certain things. It's the same with the Metroid games I've done. I've played them so many times, I just know where all the hidden crap is.... And besides, there are 100% (or whatever you want to call them) videos out there that are TAS or whatever, but those usually are done in half the time I do mine for various reasons.

I found his walkthrough when I was in my twenties and was finally able to beat the game. I’m here 10 years later just so I can catch back up!! I’m so sorry for the loss just know that this video will always live in all of our hearts as the best walkthrough ever!!!!! Thanks for everything ❤❤❤❤!!!!

I still will occasionally still have tears, your kind comment got me to tear up. Jeremy loved kids, he would have been so pleased that another generation was being introduced to his videos. Who knows, maybe your son will show them to his son some day. Thanks for being a faithful follower of Jeremy’s channel. He was not afraid to die, he just did not want to be forgotten. Hearing from someone like you helps me to know he is being remembered. We are doing all we can to keep the channel active. Thanks for your support, Jeremy’s dad

@@andrewkalipetis7128 Thank God for memories. Some are sad, but some make me smile when I think of Jeremy. I love the idea that you are making memories with your son, and God forbid you should ever lose him. I have a CIMB and loose cart of this game. Played it for the first time in 1992 and fell in love with this game. Great fluid controls, plenty of secrets to seek out, great map lay out, cool weapons and power ups. This is a well made game with no game stopping flaws. This is on my top five best video games of all time.
