The best explanation of a stack pack and lazy jack's system I've seen. Also funny to boot 😁

Well done guys! When you make your dingy cover Kelly, try to do what s/v Blownaway away did, they found some super thick ship rope, (probably 4 inches thick) and they added it all the way around the dingy as a rub rail, because remembering alot of docks will be covered in razor sharp shellfish, old splintered wood, rusty bit of metal and anything else you can think of to cut your dingy.

They also added a removable “tent” that clip’s under that stackpax that goes from the bottom of the boom to each side of the safety rails, because they mainly live in Greece 🇬🇷, it gets unbearable hot, just like Mexico, it drops the internal temperature a huge amount, keeping the heat off the deck to begin with.. there’s is built in to the stack pax, but i can’t see a issue just adding hooks under it? Sorry I’m giving you so many sewing jobs, but you will be thankful later.. you can even wet the “tent” and get the Evaporative effect making the underside of the “tent” far cooler the the ambient temperature.. i will sent you a picture via messenger..

Actually shows most in this episode, if you skip below the deck, you can see what they did above. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqXGpql7iMlpj7c

Battens in the sail would make it work better in the lazy jacks. Making good progress
@ChrisandKellNowHere2 жыл бұрын
We do have partial battens that we finally installed, but haven't hoisted... But it makes sense they would help quite a bit!

The stack pack looks good. Having never run one I do have a question, does it lower all the way down when the sail is up for sail trim? As I said I have never run one. I just do hand flaking and then put on a sail cover. Being old and old fashioned, or an incredible cheapskate, I just never got one. Weather and tide, oh looks like the river is rising, if you guys want to do an exploratory run out to the main channel in a shallow draft boat just Hollar.

No, it kinda hangs out at the bottom of the sail but you can access the outhaul, traveler and the boom vang.

It looks like you did the ws500 switches in reverse. The video is a little grainy, but it looks like an ON symbol on the right, with an arrow pointing to the right. Anyway Worth double-checking right.

Double checked and we're good but thanks for looking out. Seems exactly like something I'd do!

How does the stack pack work around your reefing system?
@ChrisandKellNowHere2 жыл бұрын
It's a little clunky, but since the sail would be up, clearing of the lines and setting the hook are doable at the base of the boom.

Is the rum ready? Your timeline is private and please keep it as so. Just asking.
@ChrisandKellNowHere2 жыл бұрын
It's not quite there yet, although I haven't tasted it (and I plan to soon). Most good rums age for at least 3 years!
