Sailboat Prep for Transpac Race

In this episode I explore the docks in San Pedro, California as the Transpac race is about to get underway. The Transpac race occurs every two years. Sailboats take off from San Pedro and head to Hawaii. I talk to several sailors in the race and discuss their past experiences and what they expect from the race this year. Enjoy! #Sailing

Hey Josh, thanks for making this video. Very informative. We are on the receiving end here in Honolulu so I've never seen it from the starting point of view. I always imagined that the sail back was anticlimactic but it was very interesting that some of the boats are dismantled and shipped back to save wear and tear.

San Pedro means Saint Peter in Spanish. The correct pronunciation is with a short vowel "e" in Pedro.
