@@SailingArgo I spent several years in the roaring forties in the Southern Ocean on workboats. We are now just outside of the tropics and we love it where we are.

We were shivering watching this episode. You're both mad to be sailing in weather like that 🤣. Once again though, some of the scenery was stunning. ⛵😍

Normally we wouldn't be sailing this early in the season, but the season is very short. So by starting this early we were able to fulfill one of many dreams, to sail Loch Ness in Scotland❤️⛵

Nice video for not so nice weather. We can relate about having to be able to fix and maintain everything onboard. For me carpentry is my Achilles heel, but just got top keep at it. Everything improves with practice.
@SailingArgo2 жыл бұрын
We should really sail together, then I could take the carpentry jobs and you could do mechanic work 😂It's like you say, you get better with practice ♥ ️

I did geology in school when I was 16 and it still fascinates me. I wonder if geology is warmer than sailing? Maybe if we did volcanoes... I think that the fisherman's route was less bumpy because the changes of depth were less extreme. Looking on a chart for that area, the route was mostly at 50m depth whereas the route you followed had a lot of big changes of depth. What we learned in the Outer Hebrides was that big changes in depth results in big waves on the sea. Lovely video though and it was interesting to see how you do your navigation

😂 volcanic studies would have been something👍 You are absolutely right when it comes to depths and waves. We made a mistake and had to pay for it. On the outside of the sheltered waters there are depths coming from 800 meters coming up to 20 meters in extremely short distance. Which makes this area very dangerous in rough weather.

He should take a trip to Leka. It's like the surface of another planet. And the surface changes color when it's getting wet. It's amazing 😍
