Looks a fantastic place to sail, very tempted to take my Skipper up there but it's one heck of a drive from the midlands.

Lovely. I have just become the custodian of a somewhat neglected skipper. Sit in a garden of many years. I don’t suppose you have any instructions on the rigging etc

Just changed from an anderson 22 to a wanderer dinghy. Much more fun in the little boats i think!

Ach Ah dont mind getting becalmed back in the estuary, I had the outboard, the oars, and a few bottles of bud, so I just drifted around for a while enjoying where I was. Cheerz mate.

hi. I just found your channel, great vids, I have a skipper I bought it years ago to teach the kids to sail... now they are teenagers I have dug it out and yesterday taught them fiberglass repairing! hopefully this summer I will get it on the water and finally get them sailing.. I would appreciate any advice you can give on how to rig it? as in the main the advice I get is "cut it up and put it in a skip" nice to see a "looked after" skipper like yours for a change.

Cheerz I have modified the rig slightly, infact Ive modified the whole boat and will have to make a vid of that. Its a bit scruffy at the moment but still ship shape and sailing

ragnail I too would be like to see video detailing your mods to the skipper. I have seen several in your other videos (particullary interested in the extra "boot" under the front thwart). I have very much enjoyed your videos. Thanks for posting, and all the best.

Have you got the details for the cottage..I would camp there but the wife wont hear of it.. I have a 4.2 metre Zodiac with a small 20hp Yamaha, would it be possible to trailer launch it on the beach in front of the cottage, Love the vids of you and your mates on the piss on Lomond and other places, my kind of camping. look forward to a reply with the cottage details if you have them. Regards... Ian.

Hi I am thinking of getting skipper 12 but write ups say they are not good can you tell me your thoughts aas i am a novice are they safe and stable thanks mate
@Nabrach4 жыл бұрын
Mine is the Skipper 14 .They are very stable and forgiving, quite idiot proof. I have made all sorts of terrible mistakes out in high winds and never capsized it once. They are ideal for children , novices and even drunks. They can also carry loads of stuff ie camping equipment supplies spare engines etc. They are fantastic boats and not to slow either.
