Would you look at that! A sailing channel that uses sailing as content, I love it.

It's like they are breaking the rules! 😉

They seem to be one of the few that actually sail their boat and not just drive it around. Besides the fact that they are so fun to watch, it’s one of the things that makes the channel so interesting.

You will be amazed how much difference new sails make: less heeling and more speed, easier steering...

Sailing bridles are a great tool to use when conditions warrant it. It's funny because they've been around a long time but not many people used them. I think KZbin has definitely helped sailors understand how and when. Good video !! 👍

With hank on head sail, not only do you change the size of the sail, but also the sail cloth weight. With hank on your sail affect is all ways close to the deck. With roller furl as you roll the sail up for more wind the sail weight remains the same and your sail affect is raised up .. both of which are a disadvantage for offshore sailing. Yes, it's convenient, but personally I don't want the trade off.

When I switched from forestay on 21ft to roller furling on 26ft it wasn't as bad as you dedescribed. So now I have an unused forestay. Thinking about installing staysail for storm jib.

I was born and raised in South Florida. I swear I think I spent most of my teenage years in deep water watching all kinds of marine life go about their day. My God how I miss being in the depth's of water so clear and beautiful. There really are not sufficient words to appropriately describe the serenity of being in and on the ocean. Thank yall so much for sharing your life with us.

My favorite part of your videos, and I’ve watched many of them, are your monologues at the beginning and end. I’ve been trying to get out there and partake in the adventure. But for now still boat shopping and trying to land the right deal. Maybe see you soon! Cheers guys.

Improved traveler trim :-) In heavier wind with the traveler down, try centering it before tacking.

So when you feel over powered is that just what you’re feeling in the movement and reaction of the sails and speed or are you coming to that conclusion based on what your gauges are telling you? I’ve gotta imagine that feeling is part of it.

Considering how short some of your hops are from one anchorage to the next, are the number of sail changes really necessary? I hate to see Bo working like a rented mule changing sails to improve 3 knots to 3.5 knots for the remaining 5 more miles you are traveling? I love the life you guys are living but t times you seem to be working a lot more than necessary for the most minimum of improvements.
