Mystery solved! Wow, didn't realize one could vinyl wrap a boat - must be a considerable saving compared to at least a dozen coats of primer, paint and clear coat plus sanding each one. Moreover - as you mention it's recyclable compared to the environmental impact of all that paint! Amazing.

Chloe is the best looking Garcia 45 to come off the line. Love the Solar set up as well.

Yes. Excited.... She's very close now.. just a lot of testing and tweaking left to do.. We expect there will be some loose ends to tie off.. as is normal.

We just have to sort all the stuff 'n equipment out, for the boat first.. and then start the check out sail. This will take a month before returning to Cherbourg with a 'list' of fix it items.. not sure how long this list will be: perhaps 0, perhaps 100+ ...

That’s cool Chloe, good luck with all that. We’ll be off work over the Easter for two weeks and down at our own boat in West Cork ( also in NL for three days to check out a Noordkaper . Take your time , also when back in Ireland 🙂. Looking forward to a good peek and a long chat with you guys.

Just found your channel, watched all and need more! I am 6ft 4in, what is the headroom like inside?

Thanks for kind words of encouragement. We'll make more as we find time. I'm 6'2" and it's just 'ok' in most rooms. Bedroom and salon all good. Tech locker is a lot lower. I do think though that sailing generally is more ideal for people who are ~5ft tall...

@@sailingchloe2330 Sure is a shame, head room seems to always call me back to an Island Packet... I was thinking there might be room for a folding bench opposite of the parts storage to slide to and fro while gaining access without having to crawl, kneel, squat, lie and crouch while working that space;-) Here in California it is difficult to find a show with a Garcia on display to get a good feel for the pain of low ceilings. Yes. As we were also living in CA looking for a GE45 - we feel for you. I think there is on in Seattle now.. ? We've sailed also in an Island packet (38?) also and feel that head room is compatible. but there are IP's and IP's. so it depends. .. And an IP is a VERY different boat in terms of keel and sailing.. On the GE45, the only time I wish for more HR is in the storage tech locker. But I just bow down.. or kneel. I also thought about folding bench but in reality, it's not the space I had hoped for as a work bench. For work bench I use the cockpit or salon table.

Theres an opening window, right above the cooker and a helia fan on the wall - plus an extraction fan in the ceiling above the cooker..... but not an extraction hood fan like those you'd find in a house..

Sorry. No pricing comments allowed. You'll have to ask Garcia. but from a pollution CO2 cost stand point it's better than paint as you can recycle it.
