Amazing movie about an amazing trip I did myself, even 2 times. I'm 50 years old and don"t care about the luxury and stuff like that. Beiing on that boat, surrounded by nature, sleep in the open air, the whole experience, I would do it again, even if I was 60 or 70. And yes, I even climbed Rinjani after this trip. Good to see young people enjoying this as much. This is really a once in a lifetime experience.

Thanks for taking the time to watch this and leaving such a nice comment! I really appreciate that :) great to hear that you were lucky enough to do the same trips and adventures too! It's something pretty special isn't it? Hope you'll be out and about enjoying your travels again soon!

Hey guys :) hope you enjoy this next part! Like I said, it's genuinely one of the best trips I've done to date...the whole thing was unreal. Really happy with how this part turned out. I found it quite difficult to craft a story in the first part because I didn't film much in Bali...so once I got to editing this, things were a lot easier haha. As always, would love to hear your feedback etc! Appreciate it

WOW, all I can say is WOW Its already on my bucket list, amazing, quick question, what month of the year did u go on that cruise? Thanks so much Sebastian :) truly appreciate you taking the time to watch this! Glad you liked it. And good question...we did this the first week of September and we had no problems. I think towards January the seas can be rougher as it turns to the wet season :)
@Noeman20094 жыл бұрын
Easy to beat sea sickness. Always make sure your stomach is full of solid food, move your body according to the boat movement, makes sure your body always vertical position when you are standing or sitting, meaning when the boat rolls to the right, you lean to the left keeping your horizon and vice versa. Stays in the center of the boat since the movement is less than when you are in other part of the boat. If you still can't handle it, just lie down.

I love your music choices 👌What an awesome travel experience. It's funny how things just fall into place and you get to do things you never expected such as sailing with the Indonesian Jack Sparrow, haha. Did you feel seasick at all? I'm always brought down by it! What camera do you use to vlog? It's interesting watching the clips of you vlogging compared to the ones where you're narrating back at home. I can see how much you've gained in confidence talking to the camera now and how your storytelling has improved. That drone clip at 3:20 is epic. I think it's the composition of it with the dark bland colours contrasting with those bright colourful boats. Hercules is a beast! It was funny when he turned around and the crowd started running off, haha. I love how you muffled the music when underwater. That's a nice touch. Plus that whole scene was very cinematic. Amazing drone shots and it looks like you found Nemo too! It's not exactly the same but the description of your boat ride and waking up in a brand new place reminds me of a cruise I went on a few years ago (it was a small cruise, not one of those huuugee things). I just remember waking up each morning to the sound of the anchor dropping then going onto the balcony to see a different island every morning. Damn, that view at 10:10! I have way much to say and this is turning into an essay so I'll just post this comment now and continue to watching 😅
@JoshEdwardsFilms6 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha Ella thank you so much 😂 I read your message on Instagram telling me it was an essay, you weren't wrong! But these are the comments that I love :) brightens my day reading this! Thank you thank you thank you 🙏 so glad you enjoyed this and I really appreciate you taking the time to watch AND leave such awesome feedback. I didn't feel seasick no, I don't think anyone on that particular trip did but the sea was pretty calm. I've heard at other times of the year it can get pretty rough so it's possible somebody would end up feeling a bit dodgy then haha. I'm actually shooting on a Nikon D5200...super humble and average but it gets the job done for now. Going to be upgrading asap!

Amazing video.. i have been live onboard in Komodo National Park (KNP) for 3 days. Swimming with dozen of manta rays is amazing, but the current is too strong for me..he..he. There is another amazing snorkeling spot near Manta Point which is called Taka Makassar. The coral reefs there is amazing, one of the best i have ever seen in Indonesia. I would like to say, Pink beach is overrated, there is another Beach (Namo Beach) in KNP which has more pinkish sand than the Pink Beach. but Namo beach location is a little bit far so that why is not visited by many tourist.

Great video! Thank you for sharing. I am travelling to Bali and Lombok next week. Any tips for finding this cruise? Did you fly from Bali to Flores? Cheers!

Hey! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch :) these guys are called Wanua Adventures. You can find them on the main high street in Labuan Bajo, Flores. They're also on Instagram @Wanuaadventure.id As you can tell, I couldn't recommend them more haha, such a good trip. We flew from Bali to Labuan Bajo

hey guys, awesome, quick question, u flew from bali to flores then arrived lombok then u went to bali again to reach nusa penida? please let me know, kinda confused, trying to figure out the best itinerary to reach lombok, nusa islands, gilli islands as well.
@JoshEdwardsFilms5 жыл бұрын
Hey Sebastian - we didn't actually visit Nusa Penida here. To get to Nusa Penida you want to take a boat from Bali. To see the Gilis you can either take a boat from Bali or Lombok - they're just off the coast of mainland Lombok :) very close. I hope that helps you!

Feel free to stop for meals, drinks or even stay at my home in Lombok whenever you visit the island! I would be very happy to welcome you, Josh! Once again, thank you thank you thank you very very very much!!! Best Regards & Salam from Lombok, Lalu Agus F Wirawan

Hey!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos, really means a lot to me :) appreciate it! I'm hoping that one day I'll work with the tourism board for Indonesia haha, that would be so cool! And yeah I'll let you know when I'm next in Lombok - 100% I'll be back at some point. I really miss it. The people like yourself are so kind and welcoming!

You have a distinct advantage pooling as a group . Would you recommend this tactic for lower per person rates ? What currency are you using ? Can any activity be done without an ID ?
@JoshEdwardsFilms2 жыл бұрын
I think a bigger group certainly helps get a slightly lower rate :) we used Indonesian Rupiah, converted from British Pounds. And yes activities like this can be done without an ID. This was back in 2017, though...so that may have changed. Hope that helps!
@henrygarciga2 жыл бұрын
@@JoshEdwardsFilms --I really appreciate the share. It is costlier doing travel alone when it comes to 'excursions' . I have a specific itinerary for Central America that is off the group path , yet it's tailored to my background and degree in Mesoamerica.
@JoshEdwardsFilms2 жыл бұрын
@@henrygarciga it is for sure a little more expensive sometimes, but you have total freedom to do whatever you want, and that is often worth paying a little extra 👌🏼
@henrygarciga2 жыл бұрын
@@JoshEdwardsFilms --I gratefully accept that as encouragement . It is how I arrived at Real de Catorce , a profound experience at 9,000 ft on the tropic of Cancer in Mexico. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience 'live' history walking through a ghost city of ruins of a recent past .

Hey Josh, I'd love to see a gear video showing what you take with you to do all this stuff. Any Cameras, lenses, gimbals and drones etc. Guessing all the aerial stuff is done with a Mavic?
@JoshEdwardsFilms6 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate! Appreciate it :) yeah I'm planning to do a quick little gear video at some point this summer. All the drone stuff is my Mavic Pro which is hands down the best piece of gear I've invested in. Then I've got the GoPro Session for underwater stuff which is pretty humble and average, but it gets the job done. The dslr stuff is from my Nikon D5200 with a Tamron 18-200mm...again, it's pretty average and humble but it was super cheap and it gets the job done haha. I've kind of pushed it to its very limits though, finally about to upgrade to a Panasonic GH5 which will allow me to shoot in 4k and get some nice slow-mo stuff mixed in

Thanks Prashant! Appreciate you taking the time to watch :) I charged up my camera and drone batteries with a plug socket the crew let me use in the bridge (where they drive the boat etc) but apart from that there weren't any available on the boat. Pretty simple Jacqui! As you would when travelling anywhere really, just have a safe place in your bag. All our bags were stored below deck for the entirety of the journey and all your crew members were completely trustworthy :) hope that helps
