I used to have a Hartley 18 such an awesome capable boat, and easy to own. I don't miss it but glad to have experienced it for sure.

@@afloatinawoodenboat a Nova 28 shes a small Keeler designed by Alan Wright and built in the 80's from Kauri a popular boat here in NZ I am also building an 11ft sailing dinghy to teach my grandchildren to sail in ideal estuary boat with a sprit rig and potential for a bit of speed but not scary. Nearly done with that it may hit the water this summer. I have a couple of sailing videos up on my channel just for the fun of it

I've been trying, albeit not too heartly, to put together a dinghy group. We have a wooden boat group, but they have too many power boats. Might be a good plan organising over this winter.

We have been trying to do the same. It’s a long process - and probably the first reason I put some videos up to attract like minded people. We love our wooden boat group too - but not many sailors. Keep going! We are having some success with the Facebook group :)
