We celebrate the Heiva festival in Nuku Hiva and learn some Polynesian dancing before heading up to see some ancient tiki statues that overlook the bay.
We drive inland to explore the monumental sights like French Polynesia’s Grand Canyon and the historic tribal holiday camp on the other side of the island.

Tell me about it. What are pine trees doing there!?!?! The car was actually a. Funny story but we didn’t manage to film it. There aren’t many available for rent on the island and this was the last one they had so they did us a spacial price as we were looking to get an end of life banger and instead we got a very fun pickup!

Are you two going to be at the Annapolis boat show? I don't see you on the YT booth schedule? Though that doesn't mean you can't drop by and skim some attention around the booth. I guess I'll try voting at their site for you two. Hopefully I'll be up there, I am bringing my RV to try and avoid the hotels. Accommodations unless they are super expensive are terrible in the surrounding area.

Funny you say that. We later found out that is pretty much what happened. The island was knowns for cannibalism and this was a place where the different villages met for a big feast. #awkward
