Sailing ladies dinghy cruise a Springbank 15 in Hobart Tasmania

Sailing ladies Holly and Cindy head out for a winter dinghy cruise around Hobart’s harbour before heading back into the jetty and onto the Friday school run.
What we didn’t count on was the Kids Afloat being out on a local excursion with their school and seeing Piccolo! Gene was NOT impressed.
It was so worth it!

Thanks Paul! Hobart is definitely better when the water has warmed up all summer… then you can swim too! (Without risk of hypothermia… we kept joking about cold water immersion therapy!)

It really does! Especially at the end of a long, hard winter. Third of the pandemic and I think everyone’s feeling a bit worn thin (like too little butter scraped over toast ;) ). My friend and I both work in health and that little sail really helped to reinvigorate! Thanks so much for watching.

When you go out for a day like that, how much time do you spend on the water? I just bought a property near Hobart, can’t wait to do some sailing, need to get something to sail first😂 like a kid in a candy shop, so much to do. My property looks at the ocean….my hearts beats faster 👍🏻

Congratulations on your new home! Well, the beauty of Piccolo was that she could be rigged and launched in 20min. In this case, we were on the water for about an hour and a half. But it could’ve been more or less, depending on the weather etc. what kind of craft are you thinking?

Yes, wow that sound awesome. Easy set up Takes the chore out of heading out and what you have sounds perfect. Thankyou, this is a dream for me, I actually wanted bigger land but gave that away when I saw this acreage so close to the coast (& boatramp 😂). I can actually check out the conditions From the comfort of the living room. I have no idea what to get, my wife is only just warming to the idea, so I will take the time to look around. We will have to wait 12-15 months because I’m waiting for a new tow vehicle. Thanks for your reply, hopefully I will see you out there some day.
