Sailing Levuka to Savusavu Fiji | Ep 78

We arrive in Fiji to the sleepy fishing town of Levuka and were greeted by some of the nicest people we have met! After checking into the country by visiting several offices we toured this tiny town and hiked the local mountain. Three days later we were off sailing north to the larger city of SavuSavu. Here we stayed at Nawi marina, which is our first marina in the past 180 days and SUCH a luxury for us! The main reason for staying in the marina was that our boat badly needed a bath and they not only offered reasonable rates but free water. Much to our surprise, the Vou Flying Fijian circus was in town and we got to watch a spectacular performance.
We are a surburban blended family that has raised our 3 older children and now want to travel the world. After planning and saving for the past 6 years we are now in a position to follow our dream of circumnavigating the world. Follow our journey as we Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,800/mo (food, communication, fuel, insurance, transportation, mooring/marina & fun). We left the US in October 2023 and plan to visit 26 countries and 6 continents.
