Most regular people get sea sick, its normal. It takes a few days to get your sea legs. There are methods that do help some folk. Patches behind your ears for example. I love sleeping on a boat, and found that sleeping on the boat for a few days before any voyage would help with sea-sickness. Fair winds to you.

It was great to see the condition of Alma when you started and what it has become! That alone says so much about the both of you! I'm a little biased towards your channel as ALMA is the name of my boat also! I know how glad you are that you stuck with it and did NOT quit! It shows. I did notice that your older dog with arthritis (?) wasn't with you.

Excellent, once again. If I may offer a suggestion, try to find a way to tie sailing into everything you do. Walking the streets of an old seaport city, tie the history and beauty of the place to the sea, how you're just the latest of centuries of sailors who have sailed into the harbor, anchored your boat, and walked these cobblestones. This is a sailing channel, not a travelogue. Splash a little seawater on everything you do. Love you guys!

I have been sailing for 30 plus years, and have been watching many sailing channels along the way. You had me hooked since the first episode. I have a feeling you will be one of the top sailing channels out there with time so Im excited to be able to follow since the beginning. Keep up the great work and videos. Ginger candy or candied ginger, real ginger cookies, ginger lemonade or soda's containing real ginger, ginger cake, ginger tea or hot water with fresh ginger, ginger pudding or jellow, ginger in your food (go's nice with sea food or Asian dishes), ginger in your smoothies, chew on fresh ginger, etc, etc. You get my drift,...ginger definitely helps with combating sea sickness (and other motion sicknesses btw), start before you head out (one of two days), especially when heading through heavy surf or water/sea conditions.

Great job getting the boat looking beautiful, and getting her out on the water. I love the vibe of your videos. Keep them coming! we are also getting a project boat up to snuff, but nothing compared to what you accomplished. We are in Thailand and want to sail SV Ruach back to the US this year. We have made a little video about a shake out trip we made recently if you want to check it out. We have a lot to learn about video editing, but it's fun to make them and always have them to go back and watch when getting the itch to be away from the work and on the water. Fair winds.

Get that handle out of the winch! There must be a winch handle holder conveniently located for every winch handle. A winch handle should never be left in an untended winch. Its proper, seamanlike place for it is in its holder.

An additional thought. Can she swim yet? My daughter was an accomplished swimmer at her age and went on to swim in grade school, high school, and college. Somehow my wife and I got ahold of a book, Baby Swim, which gave us both the skills to teach her and the permission to teach her to swim by, as I recall, the time she could crawl. Onlookers were initially outraged, then astonished, as l threw her way out into the deep end of the pool and she'd pop up laughing and splash her way over to the ladder in the corner of the pool. The teaching was delightful for the three of us, something we could all do together. Somehow Katie realized it was for her and she was the reason for the activity and the sole focus of our attention. She loved it. Baby Swim, still available on Amazon. I recently bought a copy to give my seven-month-old granddaughter for Christmas. Just a thought. Paul
