You don't know how your tale makes me feel... I spent all my child summers, from 3 to 21 years old (I'm now 47) roaming the coasts of sardinia and corsica with my parents and my little sister, and for the greater part we sailed in... A Vindo 50 ketch! Your story is just beautiful, and I hope you'll meet my parents who are still going round sardinia each summer in theyr Vindo 50 named Whisky and Soda! Sometimes, when I have time, I sail with them, but most of the time I'm not on board. Have fun with your Vindo, it's a tough, elegant and sturdy boat that will give you much joy!

Aladino made me laugh out loud when he was creating the shade with that board and walking the line.

Oh my Scheherazade! Once again you are telling us stories of a thousand and one voyages with music and poetry. I love your eye for story telling, like the sun setting over an ancient tower slowly crumbling back to the sands of time. You and Aldino, wearing your red "Roaming Nomes" hats, although I'm not sure if that ad campaign was international It still is cute. You make my mouth water at the taste of the Rosemary/Garlic bread you made from sprigs taken on your hike. And your music.... Such joy! Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Lovely blogs as normal, great time of year to be where you are..... the child like excitement (please don't be offended) it is wonderful to see, showing heart, love, desire everything its wonderful. You have what is known as a bed time story voice.... its amazing very few people have it, its so relaxing.... please just slow your delivery of words..... I know its tempered with excitement ..... however speaking more slowly is an art in itself..... thank you for the story it awesome.... fair winds and following seas

Yup, went through a very similar stove chase. There might have been a major shipping hub in the US it missed but I don't know where that would be. Took three months to travel 350 miles and I had to fetch it from another state at the end. They did at least refund the shipping cost.

I wish I was on the hot sand compared to the freezing snow and cold I am now living in, I would change it in an instant if I could, I lived in South Africa for 30 years and spent a lot of time on the beach and in the sea, and constantly walked without foot ware One thing that I learnt was how to walk on the hot sand. Well the secret is to not walk light-footed on sand but to actually make your feet go under the sand by digging in a bit where the cool sand is so much cooler, takes practise so you won't look like an idiot walking along the sandy beach, It does work try it.
