So glad to see you having fun, especially in your very beautiful part of the world! I remember the beautiful sunrises and sunsets on Mount Desert. All the best!

Yes it was a nice day yesterday. I greatly enjoy seeing the area from the water. I always suggest to potential visitors that they get out on the water if they can.

You are very welcome. I am heading out again tomorrow (June 11), but it will be a light air day so not very exciting.

Thanks for taking us a long. Looked like you had the whole place to yourself out there. That will change soon.

It is nice this time of year with almost no lobster gear and few boats.

Thanks for taking us out for the second sail, it looked like a decent day for a sail and it was great to tag along.

It was nice. Shirt sleeve weather again, although my wife did put a jacket on for a while.

It was nice out except for when the wind died. One thing about day sailing is that you don't have a destination on most days, you just go where the wind lets you. Later this summer we will sail around the Cranberry Islands which is a sort of destination day sail.

Do you have a triatic stay? New owner of a Princess. Hopefully we can meet up this summer.

@@todddunn945 that’s the way I love to drive also. No destination. Wife and I use to play “get lost”, which was keep driving until we didn’t know where we were.

@@doughouston8907 Yes I do. My triatic is 3/16" spectra/dyneema. I spliced the line to a tang at the top of the main. It runs through a block at the top if the mizzen and down to a cleat on the mizzen. I set it up that way so I can rig it myself without going up the mast. The triatic makes a huge difference. My otherwise very springy mizzen is rock solid with the triatic. Are you in Maine?

@@todddunn945 yes Falmouth. We met maybe 15 years ago, and you showed me Seaquester. I had no idea that a Princess would be my next boat. It was from the CSBB days. That is exactly how I was thinking of adding the triatic. Boat was dismasted, and that was one thing I did not replace, and it is lively.

How did you learn how to Sail ?? Nice to see your wife aboard !
@todddunn945
@todddunn945 4 ай бұрын
I learned in college. Sailing was mandatory where I went to school. My wife is not a big fan of being on KZbin, but she agreed to let me leave her in. Normally I edit her out.

There are whales, but they are mostly much farther off shore. 25 years ago you sometimes saw a whale where I was and I heard that a whale was spotted in the area I was in last summer, but I haven't seen one for many years. There are sharks here, but I have never seen one and this is my 29th season sailing here.

@@todddunn945 that would be really cool to see, I can't imagine how big a whale really is, you see them on TV but in person would be awesome. Maybe a future vacation. :)
