Join us as we explore the tropical islands of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Due to both covid and the hurricane season there are barely any other boats around and we find ourselves completely alone on these beautiful islands. Once again we have to get our noses tickled as we plan our departure for a new island and a new country.
A couple from Australia and Norway who set sails from Norway on a Beneteau Oceanis 40 in late 2018 to explore the world by sailboat. (Yup, another sailing couple doing the standard route and documenting it on film.)

Yeah these locations are breathtaking, between the lush, green, tropical backdrops, and the all the colors of the crystalline waters. Man, I’d spend way too much time there snorkeling, swimming, catching some fresh fish, cooking on the beach, setting up a campfire, and hammock. What a life

I’ve been a couple of times sailing in this area. Last time 8 years ago. At that time Mopion was at least double the size as in your video. Hello from Germany‘s Lake Constance
@SailingBeaver

Wow double the size interesting to know. I guess the sand can wash away from the odd hurricane swell. Happy sailing up there mate 🤙

Great footage and brings back lovely memories as sailed that part of the world in 2018 and 2019. Mopion has shrunk. Small point, Grenada sounds like grenade with an a at the end. The other one is in Spain. Stay safe and having fun.

Thankyou sir, sure is a lovely spot. I did hear a rumour that Grenada in the Antilles was named due to its resemblance of Granada in Spain?

The last time I checked your location, you were far away in the South Pacific. Will you have more recent videos coming out soon? And is Bob still with you?
@SailingBeaver

Hello sir. Yes that is correct we are now out in French Polynesia and working really hard to catch up with the videos and hopefully start some more regular uploads soon. Internet is quite the rarity out here in the SP. Its just the two of us at the moment. Cheers.

Another great video! Do you use your below deck autopilot in the Caribbean and your Hydrovane for ocean crossings?
@SailingBeaver
@SailingBeaver 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ron, Yes thats correct. Most of the overnight trips with enough clearance from land we use the Hydrovane, but the short jumps between the Caribbean Islands we either hand steer or use the Autopilot due to all the wind shifts and variables. Cheers mate!

Your videos are absolutely stunning. If you are using special filters they surely intensify the blue and green colors of the ocean, sky and the islands. The quality of your video equipment and the obvious photographic expertise that you possess make every minute and every scene spectacular. Ile Mopion is a magical place for lunch and a little wine. I have missed seeing your adventures and enjoying the beauty. Can't wait to see the South Pacific through your lens. Thank you.

Wow thank you so much for this amazing comment Linda! We truly appreciate it! We have enjoyed our (slow) learning process of being able to capture our journey on film so glad it provides you enjoyment. Yeah it really is a special place and we were lucky to have it to ourselves. All the best and hope you are well
