I could ( and do) listen to any of the adventures James takes with Tritea and I am NEVER bored. He is a natural sailor and story teller. Thank you so much James

I have recently become addicted to James and his adventures! I grew up close to the sea in Kittery, Maine and am the granddaughter to a family of fishermen so I grew up close to the ocean.I miss it and am glad I found James and his adventures! I feel I have new friends and who knows, maybe we will meet one day!

Love these videos. Sailing is one of the ultimate team sports. I'm not a sailor, but I can appreciate the teamwork it takes to have a successful trip.

Terrific voyage. That's a KZbin sailing moment I don't think anyone could've predicted. James stoically washing the dishes while someone is sea sick. Great moment. I like all the boat stuff. More info would be good. It's always best to just record what happens trim it down and share it. Too many channels tries to figure out the expectations of people who've never sailed and then show them butts on the bow, weepy eyes and 'doom' titles (that are all bunk). So you guys had to heave to to sleep?

Yeah I try and keep it real and not do clickbait, maybe at the cost of views but that’s a small price to pay

Amazing video series. I have only ever sailed on a small boat on a small lake. I live in the center of Canada, no oceans around. My plan is to one day make my way to one of the coasts and learn to sail on the ocean. I love the water so much. I love the solitude of our cabin life where there is no cell phone service. I cannot wait to be on the ocean one day. Thank you for the continuous inspiration, so I never break away from this plan.

In this episode, the crew pays the price for sailing a downwind sled in gnarly upwind conditions. Even at 65 feet, that's a tough ride.
@SailorJames5 ай бұрын
It was good sail training for the crew that’s for sure
@yzScott5 ай бұрын
@@SailorJames Yeah! "Good training" are all those miserable miles I've logged on race boats. LOL. But, I'm nearly done with that. I've one last big race in July to Hawaii on someone else's boat. Hopefully mostly a downwind run. We've just bought something far more comfortable. I can't imagine accepting another spot on a race boat. I know exactly what a Farr will ride like out there. I imagine a Farr 65 would be a beast going to Hawaii, though. A rocket.

What a great adventure! Sailing solo and sailing together with a team of like-minded people can be both interesting, rewarding and fun! Question: Will it help to ease down the seasickness if You look at the horizon line? Some say it helps the brain to get a fix point and point of orientation.
@SailorJames9 ай бұрын
The “staring at the horizon” trick does almost nothing in those conditions, not to mention half the crew was always off watch and needed to be down below to rest and at night you can’t see the horizon.
