You'll love your watermaker. We have same spec one on board, same modular build. No problems after 4 years. Might use more power but at 150ltr/hr it doesn't need to be running a long time. 4 boomerangs to you Plucky

great video again Peter. Boomerang is now a spear after that. Looks like a good spot for your electric panel. Fridge/ freezer you will definitely need more than one. You could have a couple fridge/ freezers as seating around cockpit table and I am sure you'll have a washer dryer. Maybe a combined washer dryer and then as it is one unit you'll have space for another fridge/freezer above or below and possibly a fridge and a freezer in the galley. This will ensure you have plenty of cold storage. 5 to 6 people aboard will take a lot of food storage cold and dry. You'll figure it out Peter. The build is coming along very well. Good deal on the water maker more sponsors are needed.

The guys ar Ba Son are top notch. Shipyard workers tend to become good at all trades with time, given the variable nature of the job. Having real shipfitters and not just small boatwrights on hand is a huge bonus.

You can eleviate some of the risk on long adventures by making water daily. Suns out panels are powered, pump is on. That way you are topping up daily, if you ever have an issue you find out while you have a heap of water in the bank.

Question - watermaker's likely to be pretty critical on long journey's when you want to ensure that you don't carry too much weight in the tanks. Is it worth having more than one potentially smaller ones (so the weight isn't excessively more)- potentially one efficient clark type one and one of the more conventional ones that can sit pickled and be used as a backup or potentially when not so needed. Rather than running it every 2 to 3 days you'd then run it every day or so. The other alternative would be to have 2 small efficient ones with one running when you're short crewed and both running when you're fully crewed.

Always conventional, we run ours daily when out, so if it breaks down im -1 day and rationing can ensue quickly.

ask the water maker guys about running the 230 ac motor for the high pressure pump using a VFD. there are VFD's that can run straight off DC input and put out 230 ac its more efficient the boat is lookin sweet!!!

"best for me?' as in free 🤣 I was hoping for a rundown/decision of different brands/types, incl diy, for best efficiency & 'budget", for viewers who don't get freebies to consider. Can diy with a karcher, easily replaceable, multi use as pump, wash boat, etc. Easier to replace parts available from most ports, vs waiting for international freight, customs, etc. Easier to repair a system you understand, vs afraid to break, under warranty. 13:35 To heavy & difficult to handle vs inflatable.

Wonderful the support you are receiving for your quest. Going fossil fuel free is commendable, but your whole exercise, should you want to push a CO2 free endeavor, needs to face reality as the boat's materials and construction will have a huge CO2 deficit that I am not willing to calculate as to the earth saving lack of poison gas released. This type of publicity can unfortunately be very misleading. Hope you do not step into this fallacy and propaganda used for very nefarious reasons.
