I've said it before and I'll say it again.....The man is a machine. He gives 110% not because he's racing a clock (ok....maybe there is that) but because he truly enjoys the intricacies of boat building. The perfect mixture of finding a faster/better way of executing a task, being able to step away from the work and see all as a whole and patience to finish each damn job. To you Aladino.....(standing and clapping). Can't wait for next Friday and by the way.....wonderful editing.

I like the way Aladino has become so relaxed in front of the camera. Of course he is in the element here but it is nice to have both of you such good commentators. Your time lapse sanding reminds of another skilled guy who loves his "Glorious, glorious sanding !' I can't wait to see the decks sealed up and MCII on the water. Nice episode you two.

Important to me that Maya knows we miss her outstanding fiddle/violinist solo's, canned studio music is so commercialized we cannot listen when or where our heritage of these musicians had taken us but like the garage band excellence of 50's and 60's Maya music is grand, you are integral to our enjoyment here precious😅

I really like the newer format with Aladino speaking at intervals. AND I can always count on excellent music choices. Wonderful, interesting music and I'm guessing that's a reflection of Maya's editing. Aladino mentioned the importance of wearing safety glasses, and then next scene he was working taping up - looking up - while epoxying above his head... no safety glasses. Aladino - take it from me who has partial damage to one eye, it will change your life; for the rest of your life. Dan of Uma got epoxy in an eye and fully recovered with medical help after some agony and healing time. It's worth watching.

I like the way you both renovate your boat with so much care and attention to detail. You make it super strong and water resistant. No doubt you will pay the same meticulous detail to the many other items to be installed such as the electrics, computer systems and so on. Everytime you are working on the saloon I see those spaces between the beams you replaced and I remember about the place you put your luggage in airplanes. I mean there is good space for storing small things above the storage behind the setees, just below the deck. something I would do if I had a boat with those spaces between deck beams

Penetrating epoxy. Yes! Every sheet of plywood that comes into my shop gets coated on both sides using a yellow 9" foam roller before it is cut up . That includes interior items that will be clear coated as long as they will not be subject to UV. ps: If you buy a Hutchins Orbital Longboard before the big fairing job on the deck and cabin it will save 100s of hours. Good on you for sealing the porthole openings properly. Rarely see that anymore. Maya: Magical music selection.

Aladino, I commend you for mostly using a brush. A roller may be quicker but the paint bonds *much* better when using a brush. Btw, where was Maya? Guys I've been in the hospital coming on 3 months I'm fighting a bone infection in my knee, I have a 21 ft Grady White the hull is older and I do all my own work on her everyday off season I'm self taught. Great progress this week! Wow, super inspirational. The level of detail is perfect. Time-lapse magic really captures the steps, but does not do justice to the total effort involved. Wow! Keep up the good work. Makes me think I can do the work on my boat that needs done. So small in comparison.

Great work, as usual, even if I am feeling really sorry to see all the beautiful wood being covered with fairing compound or primer. I do understand covering the boat with epoxy will prevent from moisture in the future, but inside, what a pity to hide the wood with white paint. Anyway, your boat, your choice and that's fine 😊

We considered bright finishing the interior, but the problem is that it really isn’t that ‘pretty’ overall. There are countless repairs, holes filled with fairing etc.. Plus the white paint will better highlight the gorgeous teak trim just below.
