Cooking with Craig! Yes! It would be great to see how a real chef cooks on a sailboat. I'm already interested because I saw a range hood, and I don't think I've ever seen one on a sailboat.

Hey gang - Hydrovane what a great piece of kit - we sailed Indian Ocean with one - our main autopilot died - and we had no wind - had to hand steer for 2 days - mmm we should have fitted a tiller pilot to the Hydrovane - I have a friend - he did 55 000 nm over 10 years - and he went through 3 tiller autopilots attached to his Hydrovane what a clever guy. Less power consumption .. steers the Hydrovane like a dream... please consider fitting one to your vane - it would have helped us.. Enjoy love your stories...Calm Cs and following winds..be well.

Man, if his cooking tastes only a portion of how good it looks, I'd vote for a few installments of "Cooking with Craig". Congrats on the new wind vane/crewmember - exciting addition, for sure.

Congratulations on your new ‘crew member ‘!! Hahaha How lovely those friends are to donate their radar and chart plotter to you. Such kind people in these mad times! Loved the cooking part...Craig is a star and should definitely do a seafood cooking segment of all the different types of fish you can catch there! GO CRAIG !!!

Cooking with Craig would be cool. I like how you (Adam) get so excited about your new toys. That radar should do wonders for you. Looking forward to seeing the finished windvane. As always you two are just too cute. Keep smiling and sail on.

I would love to learn more about cooking in a small galley. My wife was a cook in the US Navy, but that hardly counts as cooking at sea in a small galley. Also, seeing recipes for the "catch of the day" and fresh local ingredients would be awesome.

Wow! what a great journey.... This was the first episode I watched and was drawn in by Adam's ingenuity with the templating and Khiara's infectious smile and English accent. Over the past couple of weeks I've been back to the beginning and watched every episode. It's clear you make a great team, both of you being prepared to share the pink and blue jobs. Khiara's ability to smile smile or laugh in the face of adversity and Adam's talent for finding engineering solutions for your problems has got you so far. It seems that after saving the turtle your luck has changed and I'm really looking forward to watching how your journey continues. As a side note my wife and I are Dental Technicians too :)

I've got the same kit - they're great and so is Structure Scan side scan sonar - but the NSE can have a pretty bad screen issue. The LCD display is bonded to the front glass plate and the bonding agent can degrade and migrate. Hot sun I expect. Early on you see little 'bubbles' around the screen edge. Then the goo can find its way into the LCD screen itself and ruin it - it can also dribble down and gum up the lower buttons and stop them working. Horrible mess - sticky, stinky nightmare to remove and the replacement screens are no longer available even if you can get the old one out. Screen is PVI PD121XL3. The XL8 version is a little less bright but still a few available apparently - expensive though. I'm planning to swap in a modified cheap generic LCD when I get around to it. Wish me luck :)

..... looking forward to see how the installation of your windvane progress on the stern of your Milli (canoe stern)... what a day, new plotter and windvane, yes I caught that the boxes have been in the V-berth for a bit, but the unboxing .... Yes as the old adage goes Cruising equals fixing your boat in exotic places, but you are supposed to enjoy the exotic places as well, not just boat work, getting the feeling that over the last couple of videos you are learning this .. there was the time with a visitor where you rescued the poached turtle from slaughter, that was an adrenalin filled day, also a job well done ... Hey Adam and Khiara thx for sharing a peek into your lives ..... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....

Well I finally figure out why Khiara caught my attention. I asked my little gal of 60-plus years of marriage to watch a few video’s of Millennial Falcon and she said, “Its her smile Honey and BINGO that was it ….. My wife has red hair and she smiles all the time and that is why I fell in love with her years ago. In fact, my little gal smiles when she is angry with me and that is a bit unnerving because I don’t know if I should give her a hug her or run. WE will continue watching Adam and Khiara Millennial Falcon adventures.

The last yacht that I was captain on, way back in 1998, had state of the art communications and nav. equipment, and it was awesome! Amazing gear. The "new to you" stuff you just got is 12 or so years newer than that, so it sounds like pretty good gear to me! 😊

"Cooking with Craig" As a man married for 20 plus years, treating my wife with something new to eat is for me the least I can do for her. I'm 100% in agreement with "Stephen - The Wanderer" Watching "a couple" going through the motions of boat life rather than from behind the woman,(as I'm a father of 4 daughters) is truly refreshing. Thank you from a want-to-be out there sailor still trying to get my wife to say yes....

I'm sure they would have gone servo-pendulum (lighter, more powerful steering for a heavy good tracking boat, easier to deploy, etc) except they have a center cockpit making the control lines rather awkward...

Guess we'll find out what the bracket you are making is for. I talked to Hydrovane and they said they could ship everything needed as they had sold a few V42 kits and had the parts dimensions on file. The four pipes are usually all they have holding it to the boat? I decided to to spend the bucks a Hydrovane would cost on a back up CPT auto-pilot which uses a lot less power than the Raymarine below deck and is quiet too. I then bought a nice lite air headsail with the money saved. Keep up the good work! always looking forward to seeing your videos. Can't wait to get back to working on the boat so I can GO.
