I paused this 20 minutes in to comment. THIS is how I want my exploration of the Caribbean, and possibly beyond, to be. It seems as if you could stay for a month or so at places like this, make friends, learn about their history, experience new foods and traditions. There cannot be a better way to learn about our world.

you nailed it! this is EXACTLY how we like to sail. When we find a place that we just love, we can stay longer and immerse ourselves into the island. Its truly the BEST part of the sailing life. When you do get to exploring the Caribbean be sure to add this gem to your list. you won't regret it (even when the swell gets worse! lol)

I have sailed all over the Carribean & most of the time the custom's office were not open. we would attempt to call their landlines with no answer & would leave notes on their customs office doors saying we have come in from such & such Island and want to clear customs with no answer..And when we did find customs officers they were like "no worries" when we explained why we did not clear customs earlier. They are very laid back in the carribean...they know most boaters are good law abiding citizens and they really dont worry if you dont clear customs (pre corona virus). So we actually stopped worrying too. Love the wonderful Carribean people!! 🌴🍍🐬💜 Glad you guys are able to still sail & explore the Carribean during this crazy time. FYI: LOok up the you tube channel "A call for an uprising"...so many citiznes in the Europe are taking to the streets in peaceful protest because they are sick of the lockdown (which have not happened since HItler rolled tanks in to Europe during pre ww2 & after) and sick to their stomach over the elites destroying the world economy. Look up "The Great reset" too this is what the Elite are doing..in England this week the citznes said enough is enough with the lock downs & fclosed business & bars/ restaurant that they were staging a protest called "The Great Re-opening'...and all the business owners were planning on opening against the lockdown laws and all the citiznes where going to the bars restaurant & shops to support them finically = very powerful = the world citizens are seeing that everything hitler did to take control over European his happening again. Even though you guys are off grid....stay eduated on what is going on in the world.

"The smiling guy" Beau is always positive and smiling. I have had a jib down haul for a while for safety, as i sail alone. I never need to leave the cockpit now. When moored or anchored, you need to make a triangular, weighted rocker stopper. mine is like a shock absorber for rolling. I found the concept on youtube. it works.
@BeauAndBrandy4 жыл бұрын
One of the best things I love about Beau. That smile and his attitude on life. We may have to set up the rocker stopper. At the moment we switched to a stern anchor and that has helped a lot! but always good to have MORE tricks in the tool box to make our lives more comfortable on the hook!

Not sure if they told you about the sorrel but we make a drink out of it. Peel off all the red parts and soak them in hot water and let stand overnight. It makes a really nice refreshing drink.

As much as we try to be on our best behaviors toward each other, living in 70 sq ft with each other, it can get tense here and there. lol. in other words, yes we have arguments, but can't stay mad at each other long especially when sailing and your life could depend on communicating 😜 We don't film that stuff, not because we aren't trying to be real, but with all the negativity going on in todays world, we don't want to add to it.
