The converse of that for yachts, motorhomes, RVs and even houses is that anytime you purchase a new specialty item, you will find things that need corrected from the original design or budget constraints. When something doesn’t work quite right on Atticus II, it is probably going to take a while to transition from immediately looking for major systems failures like you experienced on Atticus, to looking for the simple solutions like mislabeled valves or wires (or propane valve being off). It is wonderful seeing you work in spaces that are not cramped or falling apart, but instead, clean and organized with elbow room for your large frame. Keep smiling Desiree!

Hi! Small tip. When it's to cold and if the propane tank is not full this problem with the flame can appear again. You simply turn up side down the tank and it will work. If you have a self priming water pump, and your pump keeps running continuesly, it means you ran out of water. Close all taps, fill the tank(s) and turn on the breaker of the pump. Wait till the pump stops “running”, now open the tap furdest away from the pump and let the air get out. Close the tap, the pump will keep running for a short while, until it has build up enough pressure in the system. One little reminder, if you run out of water, turn of the water heater ( if electric ) because it has no water to heat and could damage your heating element. Great video again!

Jordan, the most obvious thing to check first when the gas hob stopped working was: is there propane in the tank? You studiously avoided the primary check! With regards to the dirty water tank, I thought that was reasonably clean. Even potable tap water has impurities in it. If you have a particulate water filter in your house you will know how dirty it is when you change it. Boat looks great. You are going to have a good time sailing!

You know the happiest days for a boat owner is (1) The day you buy it. and (2) The day you sale it. The rest of the time you work on it. Just sayin for a friend. :) Love you Guys and wish you many happy memories in this new boat.

That saying came from those who buy a boat, use it once and sell it years later.

Great job! We've had our boat 4+ years now, and we're still learning it's quirks and sometimes wondering WTH the previous owner was thinking!

Dear Drone Police, you obviously learned nothing from your 4 years in 6th grade. Take a long walk off a short pier... and then stay there.

Is this the best time of year to spot KZbin sailors as they are the only ones in the water?
@daveamies50313 жыл бұрын
not in the southern hemisphere 🤣actually down here in the south most boats don't get pulled out for the winter even in the southern latitudes, but the harbours don't ice up either.

@@daveamies5031 summer south winter north from Florida here the boats come to winter here
@daveamies50313 жыл бұрын
@@fatasford actually when your down south (of the equator) it's reversed winter north and summer south, I'm in Brisbane and a lot of boats come here, in the winter its boats from down south escaping the cold, in the summer it's boats from up north escaping the cyclones (hurricanes that spin in the opposite direction). But i'm well aware of how it works in the northern hemisphere. the real difference is for a latitude north of the equator where rivers and harbours ice up, the equivalent latitude south of the equator doesn't ice up so no need to haul out.

Not a KZbin sailor, but I've been in in The Detroit River, since March 1st. This time, and late fall are the best times to do some real sailing around The Great Lakes. Lots of wind and very little traffic. As for the weather, I can dress for that, but it can get pretty cold doing an overnight. Been doing it that way for years, and I sure don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Congratulations, now time to get the bugs out of your new boat. Plus to get familiarized with her. Don't get discouraged, I bet it was the same way with Atticus one. A very long time ago I was in a rock band and our name was Atticus. You know that's the name of a very famous prison in New York.

I’ve been frittata obsessed recently and seeing yours being pulled from the over has me excited to cook mine later today. After all the projects you did on the first boat and all the resourcefulness you mustered up to deal with all things run astray I have no doubt you’ll handle whatever the new boat dumps in your lap. Smooth sailing.

Hello from Ontario Canada Every boat, new or used will have issues and a learning curve. As long as those issues aren’t “major items” (like a separated bulkhead)... you’ll be fine :-) the great thing is that you didn’t get down or panic (at least on camera lol) the boat looks awesome, I like it! Cheers
