EP 8 - Mexico Part 1: Sailing Crew: San Diego to Ensenada by Bus

Hello fam, I made a trip to Ensenada Mexico and helped sail my buddy Mark’s boat back to San Pedro, CA. It was super fun and I learned a lot. It was also awesome to do a little reconnaissance in Mexico for when I take my boat down there some day.
This was an EPIC adventure for me. In this video I crew for Mark on Keeldragger from Ensenada Mexico to San Pedro, CA on his Valiant 40 sailboat. It was my longest passage to date and my first night watch.
This trip doesn't come without a bit of drama as we loose power at one point.

Thanks for sharing your adventure with us Andy. You guys walked forever from the bus drop off point to the boatyard... Finally away and some fine sailing jargon to boot. I enjoyed the shots down the port side... very cool and gave a wonderful sense of being on the boat with you guys. I like Mark's boat... it looks like a really nice live-aboard. Yeah, Mexico loves their giant flags. Back in 1999 Zedillo began a program to put a bunch of Banderas Chingones around Mexico. There’s one in Monterrey that measures 30 meters by 50 meters!

Ya I shoot too much footage sometimes haha. Mark is a great sailor and it’s been fun to get to know and sail with him. He’s helping me gain confidence in a few areas. 👍🏼

Lmao!…loved the pocket “spy cam.” That was the longest walk to the marina…you guys are tough! Lastly, bro…I found myself wishing you were clipped in when going forward on the deck to work…you had a tether anyway ❤

It's "Peeedro". New DJs in SoCal say "Payedrow" for about an hour before the switchboard lights up. Yes, it is a "cultural" thing even though the pronunciation is incorrect. So don't say "Cabreeoh" beach either. Say "Cabrilloh" and you will fit right in at Hurricane Gulch.
