We want to know: YAY or NAY to our bathroom decor? 🐶🚽
@ArizonaSusan18 күн бұрын
Dog shit is not decor.👎👎
@robertaxford752718 күн бұрын
They both look very nice I would have used mastic adhesive spacers and grout to install the tiles I really like the look of the lava stone if you seal them with grout sealer once the project is done it'll have that dark color
@Franko-eg6iu18 күн бұрын
Yes tile or stone sealer will bring out the color. Keep spray bottle with bleach & water. Every few days or a week, spray dampen & wipe. Done. About the looks , I luv it. What counts is if you do. If not no big deal, redo it 🤠

Tip, use soapt water when you stick stickers. Goes so easy and no air bubbles.

What a rewarding tired, though. And that’s a yay on the bathroom decor. I see a lot of tours on big fancy shiny “clean” looking boats/yachts. They seem so clinical. There’s love behind every piece of Yabá, and that makes her so much more.

I recommend a small deist change to your davit system. The swing arm you are hanging the dingy from ought to be pivoting at the very end of the platform. This way, it will lift the dingy to it maximum height as it swings over the end of the platform, and as it continues forward toward your stainless bracing, it will lower the dingy onto the platform without needing to hoist or let out rope to lower the dingy. The swing arm can be TALLER than your existing davit system, so that it, 1- places the dingy in the water well clear of the platform, and so that it lifts it well up to swing onto the platform. This will result in the lifting swing arm pivoting over the top and well forward to lean against the rest of the davit structure. If it extends higher than the top of the fixed part of the davit, then it will act as a fiddle to keep your kayak or other gear you lash on top in place. Your lifting rig should ONLY have to pull on the swing arm. When extended out over the water, it should not be level with the water but still inclined up, with the bar directly over the centerline of the dingy when it’s pulled alongside the platform. The two lines attaching the dingy to the bar should be Fixed Length, so that they do not have to raise or lower the dingy other than the lifting action of the pivoting swing arm.

Man, I wish I knew how to weld like those guys. Stainless steel structures like this for boats are so expensive. It would have to cut costs a bit if you could do it yourself. And it would likely be one of those skills you could use to make some money in ports all over the world while cruising. I'm always thinking of various ways to support a cruising lifestyle when the time comes for me to set sail. I once knew a guy who grew up on a sailboat with his family. His father was a dentist, who also knew how to repair air conditioning systems. They had no problem at all supporting themselves anywhere in the world with those skills.

To attach dingy to the Davit try get hold of two dingy main sheet systems. (Hobie Cat?) Its normally 4 or 5 to one ratio with a jam cleat so easy to drop on the transom plat form and lift again. Also noticed that if you attach the davit ropes to the inner hoop(You are using outer at present) the lifting bar will come further in, putting the dingy over your platform, then you just drop straight down into two rests which I am sure you are planning to make. Awesome job and excellent Barbecue!!

Davit looks cool, i thought maybe it was going to be mounted further aft and lean out from the dive deck so the secondary stainless hoop is not interrupted by the deck, then the boat would be easily tied off and winched up, i might suggest the four loops, 2 either side on the boat for lifting, if they take the weight, you need to keep as simple as possible so when you come in you can hook up, climb aboard and lift asap without killing yourselves - but you'll have to watch MP, i can see her dangling her smalls, and yours out for drying haha next time you do the vinyl, get a sheet of UV clear film, stick that on the outside of the class, have the vinyl print done in colour printed back to front, cover with a sheet of white vinyl and then stick to the inside of the glass so it can be seen through the glass from outside, this will last a lot longer and the UV will protect from fading so much love the animals added to the doors, great fun for everyone, but did you allow for the door closure in the frame? the BBQ is a nice touch, a nice bit of bling but does MP realize what N.E.W.S. is? what does the acronym make? hmmm much love and seasonal greeting to everyone

My favorite part of your build is a the funky personal quirky art thats not done with precision. The little bits of paint outside the lines. The chips or uneveness of tile. The uneven sanding of the decks and so on. It gives it all a more personal and warm and homey feel. Perfect for a wooden boat build. When everything is done to perfection, it can end up sometimes with a cold uninviting space that feels industrial vs a home. My favorite so far is the wooden Manta Ray table.

Well the tiles in the bathroom needed to be spaced, plumed and grouted.. But I defently love that tile.. My wife did the tile in our main bathroom but she used bigger tiles.. I did try the same style using Italian slate for my computer room floor that I added on to the house.. I wanting to give it more of a cave floor feel... nope.. didn't work at all.. it is a small room off of the main part of the house so I just left it.. You both should be proud of yourself.. I was one of those that figured you would not make it half a year.. Having done this myself in my younger years I could see you didn't know how much was going to be involved.. But darn if you didn't pull that wagon up the hill... These kind of videos really please me.. it shows that any one is capable of great things if the just believe they can.. and have a little push from friends and family now and then! WELL DONE!!!
